You did that so perfectly and cleanly that I now think I can build my own and I don't even own a saw 😂 beautiful!

This project can actually be made with pretty basic tools. Miter saw, table saw, skil saw and drill. People would be surprised what they can do if they take their time and try new things. Thanks for watching!

Dude you make it look so easy, but you got an awesome shop! i will have to buy a mantel already to mount. Great Job man!

You could make a mantel! You can always skip the 45° angles and butt joint all of it and make it that much easier. You could do it!!

Awesome build! I read a comment where you said that this is free standing. It seems like it would be front heavy, so what keeps it from tipping over?

Honestly I put a weighted vest that I never used to weigh it down but it wedges in the corner tightly after trim so you don’t need the vest

Amazing! I’m going to be doing a fireplace like this in a corner. What did you use for side trim??? Looks amazing!!
@grovebuilds8 ай бұрын
Thank you! For the side trim I ripped thin strips that were 1/4 inch thick and 1 1/4 inches wide and just nailed them in place

Hey man nice build!!! Can I get some more info on using the Sketchup… it is asking me for some type of school affiliation. Thanks

I set mine up through my gmail account. I use the free version and have never paid a penny for the software. Love it and there are some really good pages on KZbin to get you started designing in a few hours.

Very nice work!! Just one question. How well does the fireplace heat?
@grovebuilds Жыл бұрын
Thank you! It heats pretty good in a small room. Could it keep a room warm in the winter with no central heat, probably not but it makes a noticeable difference in a small room as a secondary heat source. The fan does throw the heat a good ways too!

Are you sure that TV is not too high? It doen't look a comfortable height for playing games. I had the dilemma of combining an entertainment wall with a clssic looking fireplace. I had to lose the mantle and the soundbar so the TV is not too high. It depends on the focus for such a wall. Are your going forthe look or for the function? I ended up choosing function.
@grovebuilds Жыл бұрын
My wife and I have been using the entertainment center for a few months now and neither of us have had an issue with the height. Our couch sits pretty far back from the tv so the helps with the height. Overall we have no issues with the height.
@iNoLonger Жыл бұрын
Are there any plans or drawings you can share? Thinking about a similar design but with cubbies instead of the shelving behind the TV. Seems like it would be difficult if you want to swap games.
@grovebuilds Жыл бұрын
I have my rough draft drawing I can share with you. If you message me on Instagram or leave your email I can send it to you. You are right it is a headache to change games in the Xbox but luckily all my games are downloaded on my console.

How big is TV on this build? Looking to build something similar with a 65inch. Love this upgrade!!!!
@grovebuilds Жыл бұрын
We have a 50 inch tv, would love to have a 65 inch tv but our living room is too small for that much tv. If you can go with a 65 inch do it and I’m jealous if you can!!

How do you attach back brace to front frame and the wall?
@grovebuilds Жыл бұрын
I used pocket screws to attach the back brace to the front frame and a couple pocket screws in the corner part of the back brace into the wall because I knew there were studs there.
