I think those sonos woofers work better when sealed or with radiators as their original design of sonos play 5 is a sealed type.

Exactly my thoughts, side speakers are redundant it should have had 4 front facing or 2 front and 2 back/side passive bass radiators. I have a set of sony 6.5" components instead of Sonos and bass is still not as good as i would like, a dedicated sub is a must if you listen to music.

You shouldn't cover the bass reflex ports with damping material. They should remain open. Otherwise its a nice build. 👍

Actually these drivers are made for sealed enclosure but to be controlled via dsp... So we done it half way
