I actually really like the table and I think you did a great job on it. The only thing I think I would have changed was instead of angling the LEDs to the inside of the table I would have installed them at the top of the ribs angled downwards with some reflective tape or something else reflective inside for the light to bounce and spread around. That way your white panel would glow a full color instead of seeing the LED's being the paneling. All in all, it's still an awesome build.
@ChilliesWorld
@ChilliesWorld 2 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea! Someone else also mentioned a diffuser panel. If you don't want to dim or change the color of they lights, you can use 360 LED rope lights which provide an even glow throughout the rope. That with a diffuser panel should give a uniform light.

I’ve been building tables for 10+ years, I’ve never done one with a raised rail. Maybe I’ll try after I get through some of my other ideas. This does motivate me to put my work on film and post it here. I can easily see this table going for $3-5k and if you are patient, you can source your materials for way cheaper. Overall, superb job and a brilliant finished product.

Really cool! I’m a big fan of No drinks on the table, but I really like the slide in drink holders! That way it doesn’t take up space on the rail & you can move them to what’s comfortable for the individual! I like the shuffler. Lights are a good addition!

I prefer no drinks on the table as well. But having an option is nice. The lights are a must for helping see the cards better. On my next table I'm adding charging outlets for people's phone. Hope to have that video done by end of September..

awesome video! i have a suggestion, it looks like there wasn’t much room between the lights and the plexiglass but if you could’ve found some sort of thin light diffuser to put on the lights it would probably make it look a lot better instead of being able to see each individual led!

Nice build. You would have found cutting the chamfer on the underside of the shuffler much easier with a 45 degree bearing cutting in a router. I actually reckon it would have taken you about 5 minute to cut and it would have given a really clean consistent cut, they only cost about £15 here in the UK so maybe something like 20 bucks for you guys, very versatile too. Great work.

Built one EXTREMELY similar a few years ago. Only I made mine 10 feet long using multiple sheets of plywood. (It's huge) I couldn't figure out how to do the plexiglass on the raised rail, so my LEDS are just under the rail pointing down, with white trim backing so they reflect. Still looks great.

Awesome build! I made a much simpler, generic round "game" table about 2 years ago. Thinking about doing something similar, but struggling with the issue of how to attach the plexiglass. Did you not feel that glue was sufficient to hold it in place? Any other idea on how to attach it without the use of screws? Again, love the professional look and feel. Would definitely be a welcome addition to any home game!
@ChilliesWorld
@ChilliesWorld 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Glue would work just fine. I would probably use gorilla construction glue, or hot glue. I used screws in case the lights needed to be replaced. Also you could buy the large 8 foot by 4 foot sheet of plexiglass at the hardware store, so you only need 2 strips instead of 4 strips, but the whole sheet cost 5 times as much. Thanks for the positive comments!!

@justincolwell4856 the yellow mustard fabric, was used to hide the thin wood, as well as to make it easier to slide the cupholders in and out between the two pieces of fabric. Awesome video! It annoys me you only spent $20 on the LED light strip, I know you can get ones with diodes next to each other, so it doesn't look like dots of colour but one solid strip of colour. I'm going to attempt this build with a few alterations. Thanks heaps mate!!

Great tutorial, only things missing is the section about cutting the rail from the plywood, other videos show the process of drawing the inner curves, but this video leaves it to the imagination. Also you didn’t specify the length of led lights used, I assume it is 16 foot run.
@ChilliesWorld
@ChilliesWorld 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input! I thought it was too much and boring to include those videos so I left those clips out. I guess I should have done at least 30 seconds on how I did it. The length was 32 feet. I wanted to make sure it was long enough and the extra was installed on the inside of the wooden frame under the table

Bigger cities will have Office Furniture installation companies, aka systems furniture/cubicle furniture. These places are usually overrun with unique table bases.

Thanks! Differently I'd buy large sheet of plexiglass so it would be 2 pieces instead of 4. But it would be 4 times the cost. And I would glue the plexiglass in place instead of tiny screws. I used screws in case the light needs to be replaced, but could change the plexiglass to 2 pieces if lights need to be replaced.

Did ur $1600 material cost include the shuffler? if so, removing the shuffler would put this build at Sub 1k which is remarkable compared to hiring someone to do this for you. Personally not a fan of the shuffler being in the middle of the board, I would have it more to the dealer's left. However, I deal more carnival games and Blackjack so i would use a different shuffler entirely. I love your build and loved the walk through. 10/10 definitely subscribing
@ChilliesWorld
@ChilliesWorld 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for subscribing! Yes the total cost including shuffler was $1600. If you shop around and don't need a shuffler you can do it for just over $500. I'm not sure about multi deck shufflers for blackjack. I appreciate the positive comments!
@Lordcowking6
@Lordcowking6 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChilliesWorld they have relatively inexpensive blackjack shufflers, but they arent designed to be indented into the table, so for my setup i would have one that gets removed after the shuffle. Definitely going to be using this video for inspiration!

This turned out really nice! It's hard to believe that in today's wood market this whole project cost less than $2000. I really appreciate the running count of the expenses, definitely on my bucket list to make one of these one day. Side note, that shuffler works really well! I'd probably try to snag one on sale for around $500 though, nearly $900 is a bit steep to me.
@ChilliesWorld
@ChilliesWorld 2 жыл бұрын
I agree. The increase in wood prices make a lot of projects more expensive. If you know you're going to build one in the future you can shop around and wait for good deals and get it cheaper.

I live in Vegas. There is Gamblers General Store and Spinetties. Both are casino supply stores that are right across the street from each other. You can also find them on Ebay. Cards and chips come from there.
