yo.. I've been trying to get a hold of a fat wheel or cruiser for so long. wanted to make one that will pedal on sand.. Beach drift .lol. But yea. I figured the cranks would have to be longer so its easier to pedal. might be slower. short cranks fast long cranks slow depending on drive hub ratio. but that's all really the rest is pretty much the same setup. Be good to see a build vid been slacking on my part. Cheers buddy

at the bottomof the fork. i got them anyway. i just cut into them and they either fell off or i took them off with a pliers

I followed all the instructions except were you cut those parts off the forks. But when I peddle it won’t bite the tire so the bike want move. What’s causing this to happen

Sounds annoying, I can't be absolutely sure without seeing the issue. I can only ask , does the wheel still spin from the drive freely.? No welds on the drive stopping it from turning.. Are the cranks or drive rubbing, catching on something.? has the drive been put back together correctly.? I had "bearing spacing" issues with the inside of my cranks where they sat inside the forks and had too grind the inside of the crank down so it would not rub on the fork and bearings.. I appreciate the time you took to watch and post this question and am sorry we can't be of more help. Best of luck mate..

What ever bearing you can find that fits over the axel. the bearing will tend to have a larger inner circumference so you might need to make a sleeve to fill the gap. check out my last vid to see what I mean about needing a sleeve for the bearing.. Churrrr

I use the same bearings that are used in the rear wheels, iv found that the bearings that come with the trolley rear wheels don't last very long so I replace them with sealed bearings, $8 a bearing from auto shop, or cheaper online,

+jesse long should just use what ever bearing he can find that fits over the axle/crank. these were too big which is why I needed sleeves to fill the space. These are the same size bearings as in most rear trolley wheels. Cheers for the comment.

yea aye. I would have thought the same thing, but this particular trike now drifts the hills in Rotorua NZ and apparently is still going strong, I would have thought the drive would give way first being it's a kids pedal break wheel, then maybe the fork bolts and holder. but I guess all the wheels I have made to date are all still pedal free rolling the Orsum hills of NZ. Churr.
