This is too awesome, I drove my buddy's 2000 tacoma the other day and thought to myself this would be fun to drift and cheap as well. Sure enough someone has gotten to it, good job! Im pretty sure im gonna build one of these this summer or next year. Once its all beat up I'll throw a fwd chassis on top to confuse people lol.

ahahahaha yeah thats skylers style it currently has Christmas lights on the bash bar and is terrorizing Portland streets the rear end is still holding up 3 events and countless nights later. But a 4 runner rear end discs and four link is chillin when it goes.

Thanks just get out there and put in the time and you can do it too. Think of it more like im not good at it yet, but get to practicing. Besides its mad fun even if you spin out. Check out my thoughts on the D21 i kind of touch on this.

I'm surprised more people don't use trucks and suvs to drift. Especially a s10 blazer perfect balance compared to truck and you can put any engine in it. Easy to put rack and pinion steering in it. Easy to get low, Easy to make it 4 link, track bar style suspension in the rear. And there dirt cheap.

the hard bodies are very difficult, the Tacoma isnt as hard since the front suspension is better i.e steering rack and coil over shocks. still not a 240 easy but very doable .

its not converted, it still has the pull cable brake. The second one is a hydro unit that ties into the regular rear brake line.

in the case with skyler's truck, i think the limited slip stops most of it, then the lack of a bed and not overly large tires helps.
