I just bought my lumper, I can't wait to see this table stand in front of me. I had hard time finding good lumber in home depot, I spent one hour searching for good ones. I will keep you updated on my experience after I complete the project. thank you for making simple furniture items, it is such an inspiration for beginner to start their woodworking project.

Highly recommend finding a local lumber yard to get your lumber. The big box stores have no real standard for the lumber they stock.

That turned out absolutely gorgeous! I love the detail of the X in the middle--it looks modern-day rustic. Thank you for sharing!

Love it!! It's nice to see a fellow female interested in woodworking...my husband and I build rustic wood furniture also. I love to be in the shop. What a feeling to be able to create something for someone to enjoy for hopefully years to come. Keep up the great work!

Great build! It’s been humorous to watch wood working videos these days and see how cheap lumber used to be. There’s no way I could build that for less than $100, so all these “cheap easy builds” are expensive high stakes projects. 😭 but lumber futures are coming down, so I’m hopeful.

Your material list says one 2x6, is it suppose to be a 1x6?

Would you recommend any changes if I wanted to change the height from 30” to 42”
@addicted2diy3 жыл бұрын
Jarren Hatfield other than the obvious changes of the legs and back slats being longer, I don’t think so. If anything, perhaps making it a bit deeper will make it a little less top heavy.

Yes this does require special tools, not everyone has a machine to make pocket holes no or the fancy cutting saws
@addicted2diy4 жыл бұрын
DonnaP you actually don’t need an expensive pocket hole jig or fancy saw for any of this. A regular miter saw and a smaller Kreg pocket hole jig will work for so many projects like this one. I started out with next to nothing in tools and still built quite a few high-end looking projects with them.

What angle do you cut the X at ??
@addicted2diy3 жыл бұрын
Joel G I didn’t figure out a specific angle. I made marks with my pencil where the boards overlapped and then cut them at that angle.
