There may be a cap on your fertilizer production of 3 units per day and an over-all cap of 10 fertilizers per settlement. To circumvent this cap with no mods, you will have to limit 3 brahmins per settlement and craft jet every few days. fun fact Kelly's brahmin are actually synths, if you kill them they have synth components so unless she feeds them synths you got robot cows, funky

Now this is interesting I must have had several playthroughs on this game and I've never once thought of making a cap farm in this way. It's a good idea for a settlement to at least to just have 1 out of the many settlements available. That selling for 1 cap a piece is tough though lmao I didn't expect that at all 😂 another good settlement guide in all though bro 👍

Honestly, creating a jet farm or a water farm is so much more time consuming, than just taking a few ranks in scrounger. Scrounger will give you extra ammo in containers. Even with a Luck of 2 (my usual starting Luck ), you will have more than enough ammo to sell to buy just about anything you might need. You can even sell off 98% of the chems you obtain running around the wasteland. I keep 1-2 of a few chems except Rad-X and Rad-away. ( I keep 3-5 of each and sell the rest ). I will take chemist to mix up better chems for selling using existing chems I've found, and gain some exp in the process.

Purified water facility is way more fast and efficient than drug dealing. You can fill that whole river from sanctuary hills with both big pumps and small pumps. You can get 2000+ purified water. Of course you'll need to build several energy machinery but it's worth it.

Great video, subbed! Too easy to get rich in fo4 imo. And no, I don't use glitches, where is the fun in that? Can get rich this way with Jet and other drugs, with water farms, adhesive farms, calthrops and my new favorite: set up a factory builder and turn 3 steel into a lunchbox. They are even weightless so no rush to sell them.

I'm noticing your brahmin are not staying at the tubs like they tend to for me. Noticed you didn't put a water pump jack next to any of them. Maybe it's just me, but I noticed in my vanilla gameplay that if I don't put a pump next to the tub, they won't stay there. They'll still wander a little bit around the tub, but generally stay there when the pump is there. Yours just seem to be wandering mostly still. Just closer to the tub. For comparison sake, with the pumps, yours would all be at their own tubs mostly. But they aren't, in the video at least. Edit: Okay, I see one drinking from a tub at about 3:20. And without a pump... hmmm... Could you maybe test what I said anyways, see if it makes a difference for you. It does seem to for me.

For the most part, they do stay by the feeders but they will roam around the feeder. They will stay still for a few hours and roam on and off. That's been my experience across many different characters. I'll see if I can try the pump that you suggested

@@fallout4myth940 Yeah, I can't say I've sat and watched mine for game 'hours' on end to see what they do. But 9.5/10 times I see any of them, they're at their tub slurping away. Sometimes a little further away, but never for long. Usually just walking around for a moment, then going right back. Like you said. But yours seem to roam a lot more than eat/drink. Something else to note, is that when I was placing the tub one time in a new spot, I noticed the brahmin just did not seem to care it was there. Not until I moved the pump as well. And to be clear, this was vanilla gameplay, albeit with a few custom modifications for person use. So nothing about them has been changed without my knowledge of it. Oh, and don't worry about the pump not being directly over the tub. You can get it to do it like that, but it can be tricky. It just has to be close enough to it. So you might be able to put two or even three or four tubs near one pump on each side of it. Just make sure they face the right direction so the brahmin aren't trying to stand on the pipe. (I can see it happening. I don't know if it will happen for sure, but I can see them trying.) And if I am wrong, and it's just fluke that it seems to work like that... Oh well... it still looks better I figure, and it still gives you 3 water per pump. P.S. One last thing. It makes sense to me that it would work like this, because at least until the devs added the new pump to the game for areas without water; that pump basically only had one use. A starter pump for where there was no standing water for the other pumps to use. But with that distiller pump available now, this pump basically is useless. Sure, it may not cost a lot of materials which is nice, but the other pumps can all be built with relative ease as well, even at the start of the game. So it makes sense to me that this pump might have secondary uses as well.

Cafeteria bowls, plastic food trays, salt pepper shakers, bread boxes, gloves. There'd a lot of plastic stuff. I would encourage you to tag plastic components so that when you search for it, all junk items will.platic will be highlighted in green. To do so, put the junk item in your inventory, then enter the junk section in your pipboy. You can press C (PC) to switch into component view. From there, you can tag or un-tag any material you have for search.

Yes I missed Including this info, hence I pinned a comment and added captions to address it. Tbh I ended up with 800+ fertilizer, and less than 1/4 of it was from shipments. the cap is wonky for sure, I believe the unofficial fallout patch may also fix up these cap issues

I've done it the lazy way, I used an exploit by just duplicating plastic and fertilizer until they both were more than 40k and there you go. Unlimited jet and caps.

No need to be sorry. This guide uses no exploits, but yes you can use that glitch to make this easier. You can also use console commands and just give yourself unlimited materials and not have to waste time with the duplication glitch too. Whatever works for you and your playstyle :)
