You have no idea how pleased I was to see it didn't fit (for all the best reasons!) as I've just built an EVO kit for my Transit Custom LWB and because I've raised the floor an inch for the insulation I have the exact same issue. Nice to see that you fixed yours the exact way that I was thinking I had to get mine done. Now to find a carpenter to come round and scribe it in, as I don't trust myself not to mess the job up! Thanks for the vid :)

Thanks a TON for the video series. Was hoping you’d show the physical hard install at least a little, after the flat pack build. What are the “ fixings “ ( can’t tell from the video on mobile ) for those who would build their own cabinets ( no vw vans nor pre made flat packs in the us ) and how / where does one affix finished cabinetry securely to the frame?

What would you do to hide the wardrobe unit backs where the window is, simply curtains or something like a panel? Asking as I’m looking at a caravelle.

I used blackout film tint so from the outside it didn't look strange followed by either hardboard cut to the shape of the glass or plywood (Which either you prefer)

Och I wanted to see the screwing I bought a van and the rear section of unit only has one screw holding the top half to the van the whole bottom of my unit is solid but the top half only had one screw at the back and none at the front so it rattled about when u hit bumps I think I am going to remove and refit it properly I have the units that go to the roof all the way along and has a blind built in for the cooker window

Great video, what size slot cutter do you use for the T trim
@CombeValleyCampers4 жыл бұрын
This interior has it pre cut, but if you're making your own a 2mm or 3mm cutter is needed. Just double check with the trim you purchase

Great video... I'm looking to put together a camper van here in the US. Do you know of any companies making flat-pack interiors for vans in the US?
@CombeValleyCampers4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Im afraid I'm unaware of any companies in the US that provide such a service. It may well be worth calling the team at Evo Motion Design to see if they would ship overseas
@mjmdiver11374 жыл бұрын
@@CombeValleyCampers Thanks. The reason I asked about US companies is because the the VW vans aren't available here, and most of the European places tend to center on that or other vans that we can't get here. I'll contact them and see what they have to say.
