Nice bench! I see some people use brackets for extra reinforcement. Im thinking of making a closet bench similar dimensions to your bench but a bit wider (59 inches total across). Would you recommend brackets or strong enough without (like yours)? Thanks😊

Wood frame would be fine. May Need to beef up the thickness some tho.

I would of made it 1 inch higher so that squiggly seam didn’t run across the top

It looks good as is because the bench is perfectly parallel to the seam.

I’d hit with 150 220 sanding process, 320 sanding for final paint and I hope you used natural putty for those finish nail holes and tear out on the butt deck
