How to Build a floating seat for Bay window w/ Build cost | The Nomad Studio

This is a #Howto video on building a #DIY floating seat for a Bay window. At the end of the video, you can find the total build cost of this project and I have included product links below.
We converted a dark, non-functional bay window area into a bright & inviting seating nook. It has become our favorite spot in the whole house. Built a floating seat using 2x4s, added upholstered seat & cushions replaced vertical blinds with IKEA Roller blinds - SANVEDEL and refinished walls & ceiling with Behr paint.

I enjoyed the is video because your bay window is very similar to mine and I need to build seating also. I was going to do seating with storage but this floating seat looks great! Did you add a support piece for the floating seat or was that area painted black?

Glad you enjoyed the build! there are no additional supports under the seat. Its just black paint there.
