No way, this is simply mind blowing, easy, confusing, mysterious... I'm making one, or several. Gift ideas

@@FishOverChicksWoodworking I can see how these things can sell, they are quirky and interesting. I'm not sure how practical they actually are to live with though. Once the bottle is taken out the wood is just lying around on the table with no further use until you have another full bottle to stand in it. Still a cool display item and I am going to play around making some maybe incorporate some sort of storage for a corkscrew or a glass.

Dang that was super easy. How much you sell those for? Also could you make one that holds more then one bottle??

Thanks for the video. I already made 4 of them to sell at our community pop-up market since I saw this video. Maybe I can get 10 bucks each.

What was your center measurement? A 2 x 4 is actually 1.5 x 3.5

Great video! What kind of saw did you use to cut the 40° angle?
@FishOverChicksWoodworking Жыл бұрын
We used a mitre saw!

@@FishOverChicksWoodworking thats awesome! im going to look into buying one, then. is a 10" mitre saw ok for this sort of project(s)?

I love these, I just started making them. Just curious why you started with a 13 inch board when you cut it down to 9? Seems like you could start with a 9 inch board and save lumber.

To cater for the angle cut on both size.

Good video. I hope your audio isn't the same on newer videos. Hard to hear you then the music is loud.

Does it still balance when you drink half the bottle?
@kwameantwi6248 Жыл бұрын
Good question tho..
@igcreates2760 Жыл бұрын
@@kwameantwi6248 I think once the bottle itself is heavier than the wood, the counter balance force should still apply.
@nitrousblast1 Жыл бұрын
Yes, you just have to adjust where the bottle sits in the hole a little. I tried an empty bottle yesterday and it works

If you mark 1.5 inches from the edge and then drill a 1.5 inch hole, that can't possibly work. Surely the measurement should be 2.25 inches from the edge??????
