How to Build a Food Truck: Fire Suppression System

In this video we cover the Fire Suppression System overview.
This is probably one of the only things I did not do myself. 1 because I don't have the Fire Inspector License to tag extinguishers and 2 I don't have the equipment to do it.

I know it's late, but we use a lot of stainless. The best way to remove the glue residue is alcohol for cooking. It's a lot stronger. Spray on lightly 20 sec later use dry cloth.

That comes with the fire suppression system. I did not install that system, had a 3rd party do that part

Question why was the manual pull station not install near the door/exit? Was there just lack of real estate ? Also, as a pyrochem distributor those guys should know better to install the link brackets in the duct mouth opening per manufacturers and NFPA requirements. Interesting the route they chose to take with the appliance nozzle piping on the front of the hood instead of using a quick seal to come in for the side like most.

We do BBQ with an offset vertical and traditional live fire grills. Do you think that's something that would be allowed other than go gas?

out of the tank its 1/2" NPT, then you reduce down to 3/8"- Thats for a Pyro-Chem. which is what he has. Ansul systems use 3/8"only. Range Guard can be 3/4 - 3/8.

I’m still not sure what you are saving by installing the fire suppression separately? Maybe you said it and I missed it. I know you have to have it tagged but seems like that would cost less than a total install if you just had hoodmart factory installed. What am I missing?

Hood Mart does not factory install. They can't, everything comes in pieces. As per my conversation with them

$2,500 is everything. Pull stations, ansul tanks and such. The class K and ABC extinguisher is separate
