I am impressed. I might have tried harder to borrow tools if I had seen yours. As 62yo & having mobility/strength/ space issues as a renter I finally went with a custom steel stanchion. Well sort of. Researching the deets I finally found what I wanted. Ordered. Waited 4 months, drove 3hrs to pick it up.. one way. Lol. Looked perfect. Perfect width, perfect ADA type height-- really important. Head closure perfect in my mind! Feed pan included. Wheels extra. Nice green color. I specifically told the wife (takes the order) that I have Nigies. It was 3 weeks before rain and time of day cooperated for a nail trim. The feed bucket holder is too high and the height is not adjustable!!! Now my two are full grown & can make it work but Stella's 1st freshening is coming & I am pretty sure kids are not going to reach it! You are so right when you try to cover every issue. A good stanchion is so hard to find especially in California. We have very BIG Ag. As well as big cities that have little need for stanchions. The rest of the country seems to have smaller Ag. operations i.e. choices and people with tools. 🥰 Anyway besides subbing I have bookmarked your stanchion to pass on to others. Now if you could fold it up and take it to shows it really would be perfect. Lol. Seriously I think it's the best design I have seen thus far!

Nice! One of these days I will upload a video on the stanchion I built this year. Funny how you come up with new ideas as you run into issues working on goats!

My daughter was wondering if you have considered using memory foam /gel saddle pad for your wooden cross buck saddle. To help with fitting. It seems to work with horse fitting; and is used on the Tevis endurance races.

Curt M we would but cost becomes and issue and so does durability. Best fit is the fully adjustable saddle.

Thank you so much for making this video!! This is BY FAR the best designed and well explained stand i have come across, and i have looked extensively. If only i had come accross it before making one 😫 I will however be saving it and sharing with all who mention to me theyre going to built 😊...lucky them!! Actually...i think i migjt even be able to modify mine easily enough to replicate 😁😁😁 this just made my day (im just starting to milk 3 new does) Cabinet included in your milking area is very functional also. I was about to put up a new shelf today but that reminds me i have an old cabinet with no purpose in storage! Leave it to a homesteader to get gitty over such things 😅 This is the first video of yours ive come accross and will be looking to see if you share other great tips. Well know that you reached and wondetfully improved the quality and enjoyment of my days 😊 thanks again! From NE Canada

I ordered the plans for the goat stanchion. The website didn’t specify how I would receive the plans. Should I look for them under downloads in the account I set up?
@PackGoatscom3 ай бұрын
Hi there, you can access your plans under "Courses" in your Packgoats.com account. Just right click from there to print or save as a PDF. Hope you find that helpful!
