In this tip, I show you how to build a great backswing in 2 simple steps. So many people I see are in such a poor position at as the go back they literally have no chance to hit consistent shots.
This tip show you how to do 2 simple steps that will allow you to build a great backswing. Learn the steps and do them slowly at first. Once you hit a few shots, and get used to them, simply smoothen them out.
Now you will have shortened or lengthened your backswing getting you into a great position that will make hitting consistent shots so much easier.

I have watched countless instructors that say to keep the arms straight when taking it back, but I found that method makes me super tight and tense right from the get go. I will have to try this!

Once again Paul - you’ve taken a concept related to the golf swing and made it doable and easy to execute - I purchased the Body Swing program a couple years ago after your tips on touching the knees finally got me to engage the lower body in the golf swing - something in my 60 plus years of playing golf I had never done well - your instruction and help the last few years is why my weekly skins game group won’t let this 71 yr old with a bad back move up to the senior tees

Simple is the key. Then people will actually remember it and try it. If they try it for a bucket they should see some great shots and want to keep doing it. Glad you picked up The Body Swing and glad you are doing well. I love hearing it. Thanks for the support.

I started using your Body Swing last year and dramatically dropped my score (from sky high to very high). I've JUST started to really feel what it's like to swing with powerless arms this spring and the results have been awesome, BUT my backswing has gotten wonky. This is exactly what I needed to fix it! Thanks, Paul!

You can do it! Simple is the key for sure. Work on one or two things. Everyone seems to want everything all at once so they get nothing. Think of it like a puzzle with 4 pieces plus the grip and set up. 2 in the backswing and 2 in the follow through. As you put the pieces together you see the picture.

Between shoulder and ear bad stuff happens for me. I’ve taken simplification another level. Left bicep to chest level. Woods between chest and shoulder. Don’t know why but better things happening with no more than 3/4 swing max. Main struggle is adjusting to establish rhythm. A very slight pause before transition also helps. Thanks for the simplify thought!!!!!!!

It's like you're talking directly to me. I had my son record my swing tonight. While I'm noticing a few things off, the biggest is a huge long back swing. Hands skip the move to the pocket and go above the head. Your example of this looked very similar.

Yes, I was hiding in the bushes watching you so I thought you could use this one. That long swing will never work. It gets you pulling it down with the arms. Now slowly make the switch. Tee up your ball as you work on it. As you shorten it up the legs will kick in and start powering your swing because you can't pull it down anymore. This will be game changing for you. Stay focused and fight through it. You'll be glad you did. Yes, weather is great here right now. Gets a little hot in the summer but humidity is under 20% so you're not sweating all day. Great place to live. So good I don't tell anyone anymore. Oops. Erase that from your memory. You would hate it here. Awful place and it's too hot.

Thanks for the 2 simple but wonderful backswing steps, Paul. Also, I noticed that you have a 45 deg shoulder turn and 45 deg hip turn (@ 3.40). I think this would eliminate over swing also. Correct? Can we follow these (2 steps with 45 deg shoulder/hip turn) for Driver/3 wood also?
@paulwilsongolf
@paulwilsongolf 2 жыл бұрын
I was just messing around at that point showing the backswing length. At the top I am pretty much 90. So no you do not want a 45 degree shoulder turn at the top. You need to coil and watch yourself in a mirror setting the top parallel. Here are some tips you should watch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHe9p5KZYqukrNk kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGecq4CNq8h1nJI kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWGxhIqCn76nZrM kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpennIiVe56AhrM kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoHOmKusqN5seaM
