For me, the ideas in kzbin.infoUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

It’s good viewing when you see someone that knows what they are doing. Think about it!!! How many guys build a house by themselves?? I’m here in the states been in construction 30yrs and I have nvr seen anyone do not one but multiple homes by themselves. Much admiration. Watch out for Father Time. He tends to creep up on ya lol. Well done CF.

The other osb is part of the roof is fastened good. So stapling into that osb is fine. If you watched earlier, there was wood under it. Plus roofer is going to do his job... with another 1000 nails in the same area

@@gman8557 when he adds that piece of osb he staples the perimeter. But when he staples down the center he doesn't hit anything with his staples.

just curious if you always use staples for your sheathing or if your location allows for nails as well. im a builder in new york and always use nails. wondering if its just preference or if you are required by local code
@erikluff74814 жыл бұрын
Preference mainly.. of the builder and framer.. missed nails just look and are less forgiving.. plus staples are cheaper

You would think the engineer who drew up every aspect of the house could add some of the extra 2x6's to the truss. It seems like some of the after-work is fixing all the stuff the engineers don't know about but other triads have to have to get their jobs done.

Nailing drywall backing flat on top of interior walls is FORBIDDEN where I frame...Las Vegas, Phoenix, etc...because the trusses have camber and will deflect over time. We have to hang the backing from the bottom chord using 2 x 4 strong ties... We are allowed to nail to the top of walls when it's a floor we are backing out.
@KWilliamsBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Technically not code compliant to nail your trusses down to the interior walls yes. In some conditions yes they will lift and flex due to cold Temps of the top cords and warm bottom cords or vis-versa. My solution has been to block between trusses and nail the walls down to thr block. Cause I haven't bothered to find a better way. And I'm in Vancouver Island where its mild weather year round.
