Nice videos. I've been making boards this way for I dunno maybe 8 years. I started how you are doing it, and then built a CNC router and shaped my boards by machine. I have since sold it and gone back to using templates and a hand router. I was making my own skins (precuring for glossy finish) which is a pain in the butt!

Great video thanks, I used to build boats professionally and used numerous fancy fabrics and resins, it might help you if you wet your mould with the resin before laying the glass and wet that too if that does not work then use an initial coat of gel coat or resin and allow to set before carrying on. Most gelcoats are vinylester resins far better than polyesters which include orthophthalic (cheap and nasty), isophthalic (much better) but prices typically go up accordingly.

You should try a Food Saver for your vac stuff... Always worked well for me.

Very nice instruction videos with a great result. I was thinking of attempting this project to save money vs. buying a board retail, but I just about pooped myself when I saw the price of the corecell. Any cheaper alternatives?

Great vid. I wanna make a split board for traveling. I am thinking of an overlapping center design. I wonder how hard that would be to change with your design... Do you have any thoughts on split baords

hey, perfect instructions. I am just wondering what sort of resin did you used for the rails and did you use the same resin for lamination or not. thanks in advance.

Hey. Thanks for the video, great finished product. Just a question did you leave the vacuum on the entire process ie until the resin was fully cured? Or did you only leave it on until all of the air was removed?
