How to Build a Low Tunnel | Hoop-house (Extra Strong)

Building a Low Tunnel, this is a follow along guide for building a low tunnel, In America these are called hoop-houses or hoop tunnels.
This is built on the allotment with minimal tools so should be very easy to follow along and build your own Low tunnel.
This is an easy DIY step by step build and Really, really strong. your Hinged hoop last will hold up against stormy weather with this design.

@@howarddavies3744 defiantly, think of it as a veg air fryer. "crops grow fast" and for the most part i keep the lid closed with no issues. 🙏🙏

Great video and very good instructions. In addition to securing the plastic with a batten of wood, I would wrap the plastic around the batten before screwing it in place. The person who put up our polytunnel did this on the door frame and it’s super secure.

I’m fed up of paying for jobs on the plot so I’m defo gonna start building on my plot. Do you rate these WORX drills? Should really be my first purchase lol 😅 My polytunnel is mainly used for chillis & asian greens over winter so i’m going to go for building some of these over winter while i have time!

I made a version similar but with reinforced rod inserted into wood to give straight sides up for 1 ft onto which I used left over white underground heating pipe. For shadingI I use a bamboo panel at the back of the plot to grow mid summer salad.

It's better to offer it up and go by what looks right for what your going to grow. I plan to grow peppers in the summer as well so I needed a good Hight form the ground. so from soil to the top is around 70cm. Hope that helps 🙏 Thanks Glen

Id say for that size bed it would be around 2m per pipe. (so you would need 4m) but I can measure it tomorrow for a better guide @@rattleshakti
