I would buy every config you showed and I love the idea to configure your own board. You can start with a first config and change items over time. Fantastic video, the way you customize everyting based on a single board just shows how incredibly versatile this whole space is. And that black/grey combo looks incredible, I'm definitely aiming more and more towards a Sonnet (vs the Eighty) as one of my next boards, whish it was in stock though 😭

As someone who is new to the hobby but also bought a hot swappable keyboard that seems to need quite a bit of modding and changes to get to the sound profile I’m looking for this succinctly answered a lot of my foundational questions! I see so much content that assumes what you know all these items mean (mounts, plate materials, switches, keycap material) and what that does to the sound/feel of a keyboard - this is a video I’d recommend to all before venturing out into the jargon. A couple of things I’d like to add. 1.)Using a second kind of lube for your stabilizer wire like dielectric grease or Krytox XHT-BDZ is ideal. The thicker lube will last MUCH longer on your wire than Krytox 205g0 which is best used for plastic on plastic contact. 2.) hand lubing your own switches can be optional but I’m going to hard recommend if you go linear or tactile as this can greatly improve your switch feel and eliminate nasty spring crunch or ping.
