thanks for the upload. awesome build. Just 1 tip, 13:31 drilling that close to those gloves almost cost me my finger. The drill bit grabs those gloves so easily and they wind them selves around the bit.

Fill the pipe with sand and figure out a way to keep it from coming out of both ends with force. THEN bend it...much better curves. WET sand, even better. Anything is better than having those, KINKS.

Why is the front end so low to the ground? A speed bump would end your ride. Otherwise, the build shows off many talents! I have to say the number of ads was quite annoying. You must be making a fortune!! I guess with KZbin demonetizing so many videos the ads have to go somewhere. Good for you.

Great idea and cool build but.... I really would have used a mandrel to bend those pipes. Just crimping them like that is going to affect the structural integrity even if it's never a problem in a collision it'll eventually wear in those spots faster than other due to weather and corrosion because the metals thinner

TLDR: creator of the video blew all his money on the engine, so cheap ebay wheels it is lol I can tell from experience what he did. Those are standard harbor freight style wheels. I built a drift trike about a year ago and before I swapped in a genuine go kart axle, I simply welded a sprocket hub to a 3/4" x 3' piece of round bar stock. To modify the cheap wheels so they could fit the axle involved using my dad's lathe to turn down two pieces of DOM tubing in order to slide them into the bearing holes on the wheels and subsequently onto the "axle". This is exactly what the guy in the video did off camera. The problem isn't the connection between the wheels and the wheel hubs, instead the welds holding the wheels to the former bearing housing are very weak due to how cheaply the wheels are constructed from the factory. Trust me its not exactly fun having the wheels break off in the middle of a drift....

A. Wear full sleeves when welding…skin cancer ain’t fun. B. Just because two pieces of metal will stick together, doesn’t mean it’s a strong weld. C. More ground clearance is always a good thing. D. Good idea…but needs some more planning
