Is there any benefit to doing it this way vs putting the humidifier flow at the bottom and FAE on top? Personal preference? Just curious 😊 Thanks dude!
@SporenSprout11 ай бұрын
Well the way I see it is CO2 settles to the ground so the vent fan is at the bottom to remove it and humidity tends to also settle at the bottom so I have it cascading from the top down. You can do whatever you want and it shouldn’t make a big difference.

Very helpful, thanks. How does fresh air get to the upper shelves?
@SporenSprout Жыл бұрын
The negative pressure of the exhaust fan replaces all of the air through the bottom of the tent. More new air comes in from the top humidifier hose also, and you can also open the tent 1 time per day and fan it manually and that works fine.

When the exhaust fan is running it pulls new air in from under the grow tent. That works well for me with the small size, but you can definitely add an in-line fan and tweak it to your specific needs. I also have a larger grow tent that brings fresh air in through the humidity source.

how often do you have the humidifier running daily as well as the duct fan to pull co2 out?

The humidifier is connected to a humidistat so it turns on automatically when the humidity sensor inside the tent measures below a set number. In this tent I have it set to come on at 80% humidity and turn off at 85% humidity. You will have to test what 2 numbers works best for your size tent. The exhaust fan is set to turn on for 5 minutes every hour.

It is good to have both exhaust and intake on large tents. But in this small set up, only an exhaust intake is needed to exchange the small amount of air. The small humidifier also helps with more intake. On my large tent I have the filtered fresh air intake ducting coming into my humidifier tote which is inside the tent and that acts as my fresh air intake.

Your fresh air is also coming from the bottom of the tent so you want it to come in through the bottom and push the co2 out of the fan in the top. Mono tubs are designed the same way with passive air flow using filters.
