Greetings from Bosnia. You are best at making all for rabbits. I learn from you. I love bunnies as pets and would not eat them. But i make a house for my bunny and learn all from videos. Very informative videos, clear speech good explination and natural videos. I love how crafty you are and make all by yourself. You are such a positive man and nice person and you really care about your family and animals. Great video. Make more diy videos.

What’s the point of the wire bottom. If you’re already putting it on a wire floor. That’s the same dimensions?
@TheRabbitryCenter Жыл бұрын
So you can move the litter if needed this helps keep them contained and none of their little hocks get stuck and crushed under the nest framing

We just had our first batch of kits. Pepper, the doe, it’s her first litter. Had 8 kits, and so far no loss. It’s been a very rewarding process this far!

An easy and nice box, but might I suggest stapling the netting on the bottom before putting on the sides and so on.

Hey great Video! Thanks for that! A question: How would you handle very large litters, say 15 or 16 kits? Would you just let nature take its place or would you intervene? Thanks!
@TheRabbitryCenter2 жыл бұрын
I would see if mama could handle it Id only Intervine if I started to see some skinny kits I would then swap out the fat ones for the skinny ones to make sure they get nursed-You can always foster the kits if she just weaned her kits she should still except them
@zone4garlicfarm2 жыл бұрын
Is plywood the best material to use? I would be concerned about the glue if the mother chews the box.Would pine boards be better for the rabbits? Or maybe hardwood boards?
@TheRabbitryCenter2 жыл бұрын
Your rabbit will be fine with both A little bit of chewing isn't gonna hurt them it's good to provide softwood for them to chew on as well as hay everyday so they have something else to chew on

Hey! New to ur channel, and I'm really considering building a large rabbit farm, wondering how large itd need to be to inhabit about a maximum of 20-30, also wondering what's the best way to make sure I can harvest manure for easy pick up and keeping there living areas clean and considering about purchasing 5 male and 5 females to begin mating, wanting them to be able to exercise plenty but also go back to there nest

How long after getting you rabbits should you wait to breed? I got my male on Saturday and my females yesterday and the girls don’t want anything so do with him.
@TheRabbitryCenter2 жыл бұрын
You should give them a day to adjust. If they don't lift try again the next day Continue to check her vent to make sure she's ready!

@@TheRabbitryCenter I’ve watch it so many times 🤣 just found out apparently her litter mate who they thought was a female is a male so she might actually be pregnant already! They turn a year old in a month and haven’t bred yet. Is that normal?

Hi! I've been watching so many of your videos and its incredibly helpful thankyou so much! I have a question as last night I watched the nesting box with the low front video from a year ago and was setting up to build them and now I have seen this one with all high sides, just wondering which one you recommend at this current time as we have 4 pregnant does and wanting to make sure we get it right from the start ( hence watching all the vids! ) :)
@TheRabbitryCenter2 жыл бұрын
Nesting boxes will work. The nesting box that has the open front is for 10-14 days old kits hopping out of the nesting box. We use them specifically for moving our kits out of the kindling totes. Thanks for asking and best of luck with your litters!
