How many of what buildings are we going to need if we sink everything to deal with the 500 units of Nuclear Waste per minute from 10 Power Plants?
@i-am-otter545429 күн бұрын
I miscalculated, it's 50 waste per rod, but it takes 5 minutes per rod. So it's 10 waste per minute x 10 equaling 100 waster per minute. They're just going to come 500 at a time (total) every 5 minutes. One plant can supply two particle accelerators for the plutonium pellets, but a blender requiring 37.5 uranium waster per minute is giving me a headache for napkin math. (One check of the calculator later). OKAY! Eight Blenders will use 300 uranium waster per minute and produce 400 non-fissile uranium per minute. That can supply four particle accelerators with enough non-fissile uranium to run. Problem is, 200 waste leftover is enough to run eight particle accelerators...

I’m struggling with the load balancing on 10 Power Plants. Anyone got tips on the correct way to do that?
@TotalXclipseАй бұрын
Split a line in two. Then split each line into three, then split those 6 lines into two lines each. That should give you a 1/12 split. From there, merge two of the output lines back to the start of the balancer. That will be a 10 line balancer

Impressive, very nice. Let's see the nuclear waste management of 500/ min.
@i-am-otter545429 күн бұрын
It's actually only 100 per minute, but it comes 500 at a time every five minutes. I tried some napkin math with regular recipes to figure it out and got that you can blend 300 of that 500 in one minute with eight blenders, but that still leaves an extra 200 to deal with. My brain is struggling because I keep getting the rates all wrong. Gonna see if the alternate recipes make the math simpler.
@i-am-otter545429 күн бұрын
In theory, 4 blenders using Fertile Uranium will use all 100 waste per minute. That means 400 non-fissile uranium per minute. I don't really like the calc for Instant Plutonium cells (they need 150 non-fissile per minute), so instead, we drop two blenders so we produce 200 non-fissile per minute and still have 50 waste per minute. That is enough to power one particle accelerator at 200% (or two of them at normal speed, whichever is more efficient) to produce plutonium pellets. That produces 60 plutonium pellets per minute, which can be dealt with by 6 assemblers using 120 concrete split among them into plutonium fuel rods.
@brycey236429 күн бұрын
You are so right. I was doing math afterwards and really embarrassed I messed that up. I hoped I hadn't actually said 500 in my comment, but whoops! 100 isn't so bad, especially when spread between 10 nukes.

You use a bit too many "per minute". I mean, feeding 10 power plants should go on forever, it would be pretty useless if they only ran for a minute. Also, you don't spend 1 GW per minute, if anything you spend one Gigawattminute per minute but it's unnecessary to say it that way :)

I'm going to be honest... this is an awful tutorial. So many steps are skipped and I wish more things were specified. I was often guessing where things would go based off a single frame, which could definitely cause problems. Like in one part out of nowhere some stackable conveyor poles appeared with some lifts that were never in the video.
@AlexHaanАй бұрын
"Produces enough to run 10 nuclear plants per minute". Wait, what? I think you need to re-record that or add an explanation. You either produce enough to run 10 plants, or not. The 'per minute' doesn't add anything.

If you really tinkered and engineered enough you could make a better design and optimize things, this is just one of MANY ways people automate things with single click buildings.

@@xenodestroyer4803 Exactly. You could be producing some of it elsewhere in some mega factories, and only have the bare essentials in this one click box.
