This is how to build a pallet fence using only pallets and T fence posts. Nothing else is required to secure the pallet fence in place. This method would work great for building a dog fence, protecting a garden from pests or even to build a pallet chicken coop.
To add longevity to your pallet fence, place bricks, rocks or even a scrap piece of 2x4 between the pallet and the ground to create a barrier to help prevent damaged caused by insects and water rot.
Pallets can often be found for free near manufacturing and construction businesses.
Also, keep an eye on craigslist.
The best pallets to use will have slight overlapping slats (3-4 inches) and the slats should also be evenly spaced. Preferably very close together for a decent privacy fence.
Required material:
1) pallets with an edge overhang (for interlocking)
2) fence T posts (heavy duty metal is preferable)
Fence T posts can be found at your local hardware store or farm equipment supplier. You'll also need a post-pounder to drive them in.

I made another video explaining in more detail how I was able to secure the pallet fence sections together.
