@haze6573 жыл бұрын
Hey dude. I just wanted to say that you should not orient your CPU cooler that way. you DO NOT want the lines which connect to the radiator to be above the CPU pump unit. This ends up with air settling at the end of the lines in the radiator and your pump will suck that air in and it will ruin the pump over time. For someone who claims to know about PCs this is pretty bad advice.
@edgyy77993 жыл бұрын
@@haze657 as this is a high end aio, this doesn’t actually matter the pump will not suck in air. The only problem you could have is air getting trapped at the top of the rad which can cause a little bit of noise

That negative air pressure, the AIO will not be doing all that well its fighting for air flow and the entire setup will be sucking in massive dust through the back of the case....DO not do this you are going to get poor thermals due to vortexing airflow in the case. In this config- Top Mount -3x Exhaust , Side mount - 2x Intake, Bottom - 3x Intake, Back Mount - 1x Exhaust. If you want it too look pretty invest in some "reverse blade" fans for the bottom and the side, If you are watercooling EKWB makes a distro plate for the front but the fans on the side will have to be mounted on the backside so you have the room in the 7 slot config. Also SFX PSU, the ASUS ROG Loki 850watt Plat is perfect for this case, the only cable I could see being a problem would be the 600watt GPU12pin connector as you do not want a sharp bend in the wiring.

I built my PC in the same case (black) 2 weeks ago. The big difference is that I have installed my 280 AIO watercooling on intake (pull) so the fins get fresh air from the outside. And as I have installed 2 120mm intake fans at the bottom that push fresh air directly on my GPU, it isn't affected by the hot air from the watercooling. I have 2 140mm fans at the top and one 120mm fans at the back for the exhaust and it is fine like that. specs : Mobo : B550 Aorus Elite CPU : Ryzen 7 3700X RAM : Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 16Go 3200MHz GPU : Aorus 5700XT AIO : BeQuiet Pure Loop 280 with 2 DeepCool CF140 fans on it Bottom and back fans : Deepcool CF120 Top fans : BeQuiet Pure Wings 2 140 (from the AIO originally but I swapped themp for aethetical reasons) PSU : Cooler Master V750 SFX Gold

The way you put the fans in it is negative pressure which is more exhaust than intake meaning you will draw in more dust which isn't good. Should be either balanced, that is equal intake and exhaust or positive pressure meaning more intake than exhaust. The fans on the radiator should be the other way round.
@ecosti Жыл бұрын
is it bad to do intake top and bot and exhaust from rear and side of the aio ? im thinking i shouldnt intake from the aio but i really prefer to intake from bottom so im a little bit confused about it , not sure whats the optimal
@daviniarobbins9298 Жыл бұрын
@@ecosti Intake bottom and side, exhaust top and rear. On the AIO it is better to push the air through the radiator if it is at the side or the front of the case but then if it is at the side you won't see the RGB of the fans unless you do a push pull config. Next best option is to do a pull config so you can see the RGB of the fans if intake at the side. If in the roof you exhaust air through the radiator. You don't do intake if installed in the roof of the case, that would be counter productive. If you have more intake than exhaust, say 5 intake and 4 exhaust that is positive pressure. You can tweak the fan settings to balance it out, it will take a while and well it isn't really worth the effort.

Late reply but you can run push or pull through radiators, especially in an airy case with lots of fans like the o11 mini.
@daviniarobbins9298 Жыл бұрын
Pull is better or push having the fans on the other side of the radiator. I heard there can be a 8 degree difference on radiators pulling air through the radiator to pushing hot air through out the case. Not sure there is any benefit to having a push/pull set up. Also he has the fans set to negative pressure which will cause more dust to enter the case. Should be either balanced(equal intake and exhaust) or positive(more intake than exhaust).

It's fine to have it as exhaust. It would be preferable for intake however, that would mean mounting the rad to the bottom of the case and having the pump above it. That would cause a significant drop in longevity and performance since it would be forming air pockets in the pump.

Depends on the setup, the fans you choose, the size of them 120/140mm ect. Just built in this case from a phanteks p400s. My chipset alone sits roughly 10° lower when gaming in this case vs the p400s. Everything else sits lower as well but the chipset is the most significant, everything else sits 5-8° lower. That being said I only have two fans on all sides top/bottom/rear. Still have room for a rear fan, bottom 120/140mm and a top 120/140mm. So in theory temps may be even better once those are installed. For a liquid cooling based case, the air cooling is fantastic. And I have no liquid in it at all.
