Worth noting for prospective buyers. The Black version and the (snow) white versions have a very specific difference inbetween them. The White cases have a fully aluminum white top. The black version however as that the right strip with the front I/O is covered with a acryllic plate to give it a shine. Acryllic unfortunately is rather soft and very easy to scratch. It is worth to take that in consideration. (The newer AIR version does not have acryl, it uses brushed alluminum look on all versions, also does not require a SFX Supply)

@LyK0sa3 жыл бұрын
Is it small compared to ITX cases? No. Is it small compared to typical mid towers? Yes, although it is wider than usual. Is it small compared to any other case capable of housing 3 large radiators? Definitely! Personally I wouldn't have minded if it was a little shorter and only supported up to 280mm rads, but if they went that route they'd have to leave at least 320mm to avoid fitment issues with large GPUs, so I guess they figured it might as well be 30-40mm longer and be more versatile with rad sizes

What this case is, is a mid-tower ATX case for people wanting to build a custom loop system with two (large) radiators _or_ an mATX case for people wanting to build a custom loop system with three (large) radiators. The main problem with this case is the people wanting to build a system that requires three radiators will want to use a power supply rated above 850 watts (the maximum SFX PS available).

Great review! Love that they made a mini version, although I am not a fan of some of the design choices made like that handle and the front I/O being on the top. Not to mention that overhang when using an ATX mobo. I also prefer the case slits on the original O11 versus the small circles on this. I feel like unless you very specifically need a small form factor case, the original O11 is absolutely the better option for not much more money. It's still a great compact size, and the overall design is cleaner imo. But I always love seeing options, and I LOVE the modularity of the back of this mini case! I think more cases should definitely incorporate something like that. Personally though, I already have the original O11 and have no reason to switch to literally anything else, especially a mini version of what I think is a perfect case.

@CitizenXFR3 жыл бұрын
@@Xfacta12482 I trust you, and I agree bottom intake is priceless on a GPU, but I cannot help thinking that from an airflow perspective this case would be far better with front intake instead of side intake which is very inefficient (the air is not pushed to the GPU and MoBo directly and needs a 90 degree turn...).

I don't think it will do justice to this case by testing temps with only 3 fans, having AIO in top and rear fans as exhaust + side and bottom intakes fans would dramatically reduce the temps. Great review, but this case mad compromises in the wrong places. It's the same width as the non-mini, but requires an sfx psu. I firmly believe they should have further compromised cpu cooler height, and either slimmed the case down another 20-40mm, depending on atx or sfx psu. And I don't really understand why everyone seems to be pushing towards ITX for this, at that size it's atx, or matx for loads of watercooling. No need to compromise pcie expansion.

Seems kind of strange to base this review around an aircooled cpu build when it's been clear for ages that the O11 series is really built for watercooling. The ideal use-case for this seems to be bringing O11 aesthetics down to mere mortal builds. The full atx version looks silly when only populated with a cpu aio but this one with 240 or 280aio on the side and top and bottom fans for aesthetics and airflow is a cheaper way to get that O11 look. @OptimumTech did a review highlighting this.

if it supported full atx psu's it would be perfect. that sfx-l unit restriction is killing me

I hope the new PSU standar comes soon, so we can get very small psu as standar. But ofc then it comes even smaller ones.

Can you just get the standard 011 dynamic?

@@terryd8692 I could but with the form factor, the o11 full size will not fit under my desk and the o11 mini will

@@brandonbarrick3390 I have the exact same problem. I've got an IKEA desk with tresle legs that taper in so you're limited to about 45cm depth. The dynamic is just that bit too deep.

This "mini" case has more gpu clearance than my meshify c. I have an rtx 3070 gaming x trio and in my meshify I have to remove the middle front fan for it to fit. Tempted to switch to this

Will there be a bigger version of the O11D XL that can support 10 140mm fans? 3 side, 3 bottom, 420 rad top, 1 rear.

Would populating fans on all the bottom, side and top slots make it great for airflow? Arctic P12 fans are 30 bucks for a 5pack and some of the best 120mm fans around.

I thought I saw Chris Pratt and spacy colours. Is this the set of the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie? 😉 Great review! Keep up the good work! 👍

Nah this case is definitely geared towards the mATX populace. Look at all of that space at the top and bottom in that configuration. 5 slots at the bottom, 2 at the top and still enough room for the side intake to warrant a 25mm thick 240 rad if needed for what ever reason, or just 2 140 mm intake fans to keep ambient air temps down. Otherwise you could throw 3 fans on top and bottom and 2 140 mm fans on the side at low RPMs just to help keep positive pressure in the case and help bring in more cool ambient air. Or even mount and AIO there and have it suck in fresh air to gain the most performance then have that heat be flowing upwards and following the typical convection path. Keeps the GPU the most cool with the 120mm fans on the bottom force inducting air into the GPU, AIO is utilizing fresh cool air from the side and the 3 (or 4 fans if you use one as a rear exhaust which wouldn't be bad) be pulling the hot air out. It's a win win for all sizes but I'd say the mATX 5 slot configuration gives the most versatility and looks good too in that setup. The mobo fills in the space but doesn't look cramped like an ATX board or too naked like an ITX board.

1:13 I really don't understand what you mean when you say that the o11 Mini has a competitive size and small footprint. It's only sligly smaller at 43 liters compared to the midtower you show which is 48.5, and it does not fit ATX power supplies. It has a larger footprint on your desk.

Sfx is the only reason I will buy it. I need ''compact'', full graphic support, water cooling, and glass to see the beauty. Finally a beatyfull case, not hot box, more easy to transport.
