Great video. Love your enthusiasm. You are the only guy on KZbin for three hour without driving me nuts. You use your time well and don’t talk with nothing to say. I’ve done my own setup with some changes: Case: Same, CPU: Same, Cooling: same, SSD: same but I added the heatsink, MB: ASUS ROG Strix B550-E, PSU: Corsair RM850 80 Plus Gold and RAM kit: G. Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3600MHz 2x16GB. Substituted the MB for cheaper version but seems to have all the new standards: PCIe 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Wifi 6, BT 5.1, Thunderbolt ready etc. PSU good value and should be powerful enough. RAM kit very good specs very good price and PCIe 4 compatible. GPUs are too expensive at the moment so that will be an upgrade in the future. I’ll be reviewing your video when everything is delivered and ready to build. Are the power extension cable necessary or just short with the chosen PSU?

Im starting my very first build ever in two days!!! Your channel has given me the know how and courage to build a 5 thousand dollar store bought pc setup for only 1400 dollars…. Seriously thank you so so so so much! I ordered a 13600k intel and a z690 motherboard and gunna go all silver and blue all over. I am so very excited to get started and try out this next gen cpu… I have always had a totally crappy computer and couldn’t even do any picture editing. But I need to do 4K editing… I know the 13600k has an igpu in it right, but I’ll be doing video editing on it with premiere at first and once I get the 3060ti in a couple months I’ll use DaVinci resolve. Is there any issue doing a bunch of video editing with just the i5 at first without any gpu? Or is it too much for it? But it should be fine for a few months until I get a 3060ti right? I am pumped to finally have a computer I can actually do stuff on with out it telling me that adobe products are not responding…. Or take 2 hours to load a fricken video. Thanks again dude! Serious inspiration coming from u! Thanks again n again Okay

I'm wondering why you install your motherboards with the case standing up? Wouldn't it be easier lying the case down? An overhead camera could capture the install? Looks so much harder the way you do it.

I badly need your suggestion. My laptop is almost dead and i am thinking to upgrade.. 1. Mac mini M1 8gb 256gb SSD 2. Custom built pc: i7 12th gen, 36gb ram, 500ssd, no graphics card Mac mini costs me $900 and the high-end custom built pc costs me $1400 which is exactly $500 higher than M1 Mac baseline. I am completely confused to choose between these especially with tight budget. I can just go with M1 Mac mini for now without burning my wallet but I wanted a future proof machine for the next 5 years for development. Please suggest.

Just thinking air and radiator efficiency here. To my understanding, radiators work best by pulling or pushing cool air through them, so that the liquid running through their pipes are cooled by the cool air flowing through the fins. If the radiator is used on the exhaust, are you not pushing the warmer air from inside the case out through the radiator fins which is not giving the radiator it's best cooling effect? Plus hot air rises as is, wouldn't it be better to pull cool air from the front of the case in through the radiator and then exhaust it out through the top and out through the rear case fan?
@sijmengrunbauer7697
@sijmengrunbauer7697 8 ай бұрын
I agree with what you are saying. I think having the radiator at the front is the ideal. The problem is that you should have the radiator hoses at bottom to prevent air being sucked into the CPU pump, and often in that configuration the radiator hoses are not long enough to reach the CPU, especially with a 360mm or 420mm radiator. For a 280mm radiator it should be able to fit in the front provided the case is wide enough. Note also that a 280mm radiator is as efficient as the 360mm radiator, if not marginally better.
@Jediknightcode
@Jediknightcode 7 ай бұрын
@@sijmengrunbauer7697 that makes sense for sure, if you’re having an issue reaching the CPU. My configuration is set up in the way that i mentioned and I was able to make the hoses face downward to have gravity work in the way you mentioned.

You have 3 x 120 mm fans in Front (intake) and 3 x 120 mm fans at top (exhaust). That gives you neutral pressure. And you have another 120 mm fan at back (exhaust) which gives you overall negative pressure. That means more air will go out through fans than in, which means air will be sucked in through cracks etc. It means this air will avoid dust filters. What can you say about that? And why did you chose this approach?
@theTechNotice
@theTechNotice 2 жыл бұрын
Not quite as simple. You can tune the front intake fans to work faster and the top 3 exhaust fans have harder time pushing air out since they have to push it through the radiator.
@aha6500
@aha6500 2 жыл бұрын
Fans don't work like that. It's not always 1 in+ 1 out = 0. Depends where they stand, is there a filter on them, how fast they spin, do the have room for their exhaust, to whichever side, or are they maybe choked...

Would this not create negative pressure for the air flow because there is more fans pulling air out then there are fans pulling air in?
@theTechNotice

Actually exhausting through radiator is much harder than just 3 intake so I guess it's roughly even, but yeah in ideal world positive air pressure is better ;)
