I love , and have always loved the sound of a Lincoln welder starting up and running. Especially an old Red Seal f162 or 163. Maybe I'm just wierd but I've just always loved that sound. 😅 God bless

Bud I’m extremely impressed with your attitude and your willingness to help people. That’s what life is about helping each other out. I have the same mentality about sharing knowledge. If a guy is willing to learn I’m willing to teach. Great job and keep them coming.

I know this is a old video but I came across your page a few months ago and it has really inspired me. I am currently a Marine stationed in japan but my dream has always been to start my own shop and welding business. Watching your video has really motivated me to focus on that dream when I get out. Thank you so much for all you do for us!

First off, let me say, Sempre Fi. I'm 53. I'm a union boilermaker & Pipefitter. I've been welding all my life and the only thing I regret is time lost with my children, but I provided a good life for them. But I love the work the welding and fitting. God bless brother.

Camera is awesome! Huge difference. Another trick to closing a gap my gramps taught me is to get a good hot tack on it then give that tack one good hit. Your lucky if you can get two without breaking it lol I’ve used that quite a bit over the years works pretty good. Just thought I’d share if ya didn’t already know about it.

I've always liked the " whatever grabs grabs" method
@cammurray84536 жыл бұрын
Used to fill some BIG gaps by knocking the flux off of a rod, tacking the end of the rod in the gap, and bend down into the gap. Lather rinse repeat. When the gap is bridged, use a fast freeze rod and lay a bead over all the "nails". Once the gap is welded, change to LH rod and run a cap over the whole thing. I've seen 3/8" gaps closed that way..

Another question for ya... Don't know if other people what to see it but how about a vid on pipe fitting? I'm new to the game (6 years) and dont know how to fit for shit. I eyeball everything and it pisses me off. Like a vid on how the measure the length of a 90, offsets, and how to 2 hole flanges on risers to one another.... Shit like that. I work for a water company that thinks once you get a welding cert you know how to do it all. Or if anyone out there can give me advice, books to buy, or vids I'm all ears.
