My wife has been wanting a porch swing for a while and so I thought it would be fun to surprise her with one for her birthday! I designed this swing using Fusion 360 and cut out the templates using the inventables X-Carve. From there I used the templates to cut out my stock material and assemble the swing. If you would like to make your own please let me know. If I get enough interest I will have plans/templates available for purchase.

If you're a maker and want to learn how to use Fusion 360 I would highly recommend checking out this online course made by Bob Clagett and the I Like To Make Stuff team.

As an engineer I spend most of my time problem solving and I think that's an extremely important skill. I have learned that complex problems that may seem impossible at first, can be solved by breaking them down into “byte sized” pieces. I hope that my viewers see my passion and enthusiasm for making things, and that it inspires them to make something that they're excited about.
If you’re new here you may not know that I make a lot of other cool project videos like this. If you enjoy these kind of project videos, please consider subscribing to byte sized. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch this video.
