You have been talking about 1r, 2r but what determines those numbers? You can make an unreasonable price target that ticker might not reach and might as well lose the gain with triggered stop loss. Also, I have heard some stories that their stop loss didn't get triggered.

So true . According to me even a strategy with 50 percent win rate with 1/2 RISK/REWARD RATIO will make you 50 percent profitable . It's all probability and percentage.this will happen only if we follow all the rules of RISK/REWARD and trade size .

"Just give up trying to be right. Give up trying to be the best trader. Just focus on making money. Once you found that system, rinse and repeat for the rest of your life." This took me so long to learn, but once I had that break through, I shot from breakeven to consistently profitable. Thanks so much Anmol for this amazingly valuable content. I am 4 months into tracking my data and it has changed EVERYTHING. Big thanks to you and Jared for all this amazing content. You have saved me thousands of dollars and pain by hammering these fundamentals into my head over and over. And I always come back to these videos to stay grounded.

@@Live.Traders thanks! I give credit to my strategy and management to you guys mostly. Simple setups - high and low breaks, and wedges. Nothing complex. 2R all or nothing every time. No questions. Very proud of results because they reflect discipline. Who cares about the $, it will come with the right skills, strategy, and state of mind. When the year is officially done, I plan on sending you guys the results in an email as a thank you. You guys have changed my life. 120 days, 305 trades, 45% win rate, 2.05 w/l ratio, 94% profits. If I tried to manage it myself like I used to? Breakeven at best. I spent 3 years trying to be the "best trader" and barely broke even.

I started a year and a half ago with zero experience. I am still not profitable. My self-education lead me to many different things but I have finally settled on this video because it made the most sense. I have started my journey generally influenced by the teachings in this video. I actually passed on this months ago in my search of my system/strategy but came back to it recently and I really enjoying trading for the first time since I started. If I can give my interpretation of this strategy, it's simple: You will find profits where a strategy is perfectly executed. So that is the focus of my lone operations - to continuously improve in executing my chosen strategies (3). Good luck to all you good people and thanks and more power to Sir Anmol!

Going through the self-education and gathering info (recon) part of learning trading and really appreciate the mindset and discipline that creating a system first entails. 21 yrs Army Infantry and I see so many similarities. Creating an SOP or following a battle drill, like entering and clearing a room, breeds success. You dont even have to think about it once put into action. Proven systems and methodologies wins the fight everytime! Thank you for this!!

Anmol, I really like it when you step in with a video. The contrast between you and Jared works well for me. Took a great lesson on letting my trades work a few weeks ago. Took a great entry on OXY after you made a comment in Stoctwits. It went up to 1.5R then did a pullback. At break even I succumbed to fear, and manually closed my position for a slight loss. The very next candle it turned around it ripped up well past my 2R target... Never again! I've decided that once I pull the trigger on the trade, my stop loss is money spent. Either it hits my target or gets stopped out. Either way I don't care, because I've already accepted the stop loss when I enter the trade.

Like the point of 3 AON vs 2 AON. Mathing it out, at 38% winrate, that means you have a 1/50 chance of losing 8 trades in a row. Like, lose 4 trades in a row and you're calling it for the day. Come back the next and lose another 3. Come back on monday and lose again. It'd be a lot harder to tell if your system is working correctly or if you really did have some personal stuff interfering in your trading. P.S. The 107 trade tracking you were showing, what time period was that over?

I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m calling you out but I would like to continue to trust the content that seems so valuable that live traders delivers every week. At 23:22 I have a question about the math. Every trade that went 2R would have had to pass the 1R mark. Why wouldn’t your profits be at least half for 1R? Statistically they are more likely to hit 1R than 2R so the income should have statistically been more than 1/2 of 2R. I think you guys put out valuable content and I don’t want you to lose credibility.

Sebastian Calderone that actually makes great sense. Thank you for the detailed reply. I’ve found it’s very difficult to find a mentor learning to trade. Relying on websites and KZbin has always felt a bit sketchy. The plan and sticking to it is the only unanimous tool that is highlighted between the various sources. I get the 1R:2R all or nothing and I believe it can be lucrative. However I struggle with entries and exits scanning for supposedly higher probability of success stocks. And learning in the COVId market is probably not ideal either. But thanks again for your info and insight. It most certainly helps!
@rustytriggers9769
@rustytriggers9769 4 жыл бұрын
Sebastian Calderone one more thought. Even though each trade is random. There must be signs whether a pattern news or whatever that could give reason to buy or not buy. I can handle the robot nature of “set it and forget it” I know the stats will be in my favor. What I can’t seem to find is what stock to buy and when to buy it. The signs signals or what ever that say this is with the risk. There’s lots of info about trading plans. But I haven’t found anything about the means to actually start from scratch. Maybe a simple pattern to look for how to determine the entry stop and target. Every day’s you need it but I fee like I’ve started in the second semester of a subject and I missed some fundamental building block to which to apply all this Info.

Great video, thanks for taking the time to post it. Can you clarify though, if you're making 250R gross and 200R after all the other factors -slippage,bad fills, ect. What's you're expected net return if you're making winning trades at 50%? Are you effectively making around 100R at the end of the year when you subtract the losing trades from the gross?
@Live.Traders
@Live.Traders 4 жыл бұрын
No 250R is after all profits and losses. 250 Gross R and about 200R net....Sometimes 300R gross with 250 Net...

@@Live.Traders I see, thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my question. If you don't mind me asking to clarify a bit more since when I'm doing the calculation it's not adding up. If we assume there's 253 days, and we're taking 1 trade each day with a 2 to 1R trading strategy and have a 50% success rate. Wouldn't it be that you're making 126.5 trades at 2R so gains are 253 and the losing trades are 126.5 at 1 R so wouldn't it be at the end of the year ideally you end up with 253R-126.5R? R is the risk on the trade. Search on KZbin how to correctly position size LiveTraders and my video will come up that explains what it is.

What if i picked a daily mover around 2 hrs in, timed entry with the 3 minute stochastic, then enter sell order with say 3% trailing stop loss?

Hey Anmol, first of all, thanks for the great content as always. I have a quick question about the tracking table (time 23' of the video). I am a little confused about rows #30 and #36. How come 1R hit the stop loss and became -1, but 2R and 3R reached the target?!! Are they typos or I am missing something here?
@Live.Traders

Thanks, I will do even more testing. I think one big reason holding me back is that the testing does not bring good enough results. So sounds like the problem is technical ie I need to get better, right?

Share with me your last 6 months of results of what different managements produced. Yes you still need good patterns and technicals s to increase the odds further

@@Live.Traders My testing hasn´t been as thorough as you recommend so I guess I´ll start with that. Thanks for the response and the great video.
