Been practicing two Chinese martial art style, first is baji(eight extremities style) and second is pigua(splitting palm). Really needed a finger conditioning exercise , I conditioned my palms with the iron bag by filling it with gravels , now I can hit walls with my palms without feeling pain. But I then realized finger strikes may injure my fingers, this conditioning is just what I needed, thx

Does sand work like beach sand?

Yes it works but it is rougher on your hands because it's like sand paper. Pebbles on the other hand are smooth and make your hands smooth and finger tips very hard.

You can only do it so long before your skin gets cut and tore up and prone to infection and you’d have to give it time to heal and time where you can’t do this training

With nukite you could penetrate your opponent body

correctly aligned fingertip pushups (with nigiri jars and bag throwing/catching on top) does the same thing. When I read in the Bubishi that. this stone striking deforms the fingers (when done correctly) I left it alone :) Although I have tried the Pan Gai Noon / Uechi's Ryu method. Scooping (medium sized) flat river stones and grasping/squeezing them also. You can also 'stir' the stones with your open hands. Then, slowly, increasing the depth of the scooping action (as opposed to a thrust/twisting movement). fyi - he scooping (palm up) movement matches the movement made when snapping the floating rib (by pulling it out of place with the spear hands curved/claw 'shape'). I’ve seen videos where someone was Apple to cut a apple, watermelon, and a wooden board in half with spear hand. But with a lot of conditioning are you actually able to cut into soft body parts and possible cut flesh?

That stuff is only in the movies. With training someone could rupture organs or just knock someone down, so he can't fight. The goal is "one shot one kill or main", with one move you decide to inflict death, injury, or just temporary pain. Thanks for your comment.

Sensei Nick Flores Dojo There is a man who conditioned his index finger so hard that it could pierce into coconuts. Someone calculated the force that was generated by his finger and it was said that he is capable of piercing his index finger into your stomach. If you train all your fingers the same way he did, then you would have an amazing spear hand.
