This is the maiden flight of the scratch built Cess-nah!!. I flew it first then took the camera and let someone else flyit. It's flying on a 2200 mah 3 cell lipo and 25 amp ESC. I have flown it on 1300mah 3s but you only get about 8 min. You get about 18 on the 2200.

Come on people, he's obviously talking about just the plane. I think he even mentioned the motor and electronics are extra. Great plane build, creative and practical. Thanks for sharing your methods!

Great videos, parts 1 & 2. Gives me some confidence I can build one of these too. I think the hardest part will be getting the 4x8' sheet of foam into the car. Great comment about NOT using the Foam-safe or regular CA on this stuff. I crash a lot so I'll probably use some fiberglass sheetrock joint tape (glued with FoamTac) under the cowl, chin area before covering with paper or clear packing tape. Thanks.

Freaking Awesome Dude! , planning on building my own brush-less motor / plane in the near future! really killer plane! must be amazingly satisfying to have something you built at home take flight, congrats on the build keep it up! maybe add another video explaining the detail of a brush-less motor or wiring servos in that would also be killer! thanks again! , so subscribing!

man you hit it right on the head the whole thing, thats exactly what you can do with that stuff in exactly that manner and have a really nice plane! And way more proud of it than any 'store bought' plane. I have made hundreds of foam rc planes, including full size real ones You should spend 15 bucks and get a s107g heli off of amazon. Indoor and a gyro its so much fun you would love it. It beats my $1500 hirobo hands down. Plus it makes great guts for 30 thrust depron jobs. thanks loved it!

Great build and fly. Author is correct, the 4x8 foam was for me $10.99. After I added all the other stuff: receiver, landing gear, ESC, motor, propeller, servos, etc., the total cost was about $370. One can purchase an eflite apprentice with a 5 channel transmitter for $299. But it was fun to build and fly...I did learn a lot. G. Keefe post

Way to go THExxxTINMAN ! Scratch builders are folks that just gave it a try. For you all out there that are trying to copy this, well all I have to say is that this guy is showing his building style, not so much exactly how to do it with plans and the like. Almost all the questions asked are already covered in the video. Review carefully. I have actually had good luck with rolling up foam board with inside cuts to aid the folding. Extreamly cheap & light. Good work TINMAN!

This build was very inspiring,.... for the xtra $2 that was over budget I would've liked to have seen some aerobatics since the plane did look very capable. I believe this is a great beginners platform for learning to fly 'cause there wouldn't be much $ lost after they ultimately bury it in the ground. motor and radio gear can almost always be salvaged. Great job!

An amazing piece of craftsmanship there..... I'm looking to buy my 1st plane but I've got no workspace to do all the work you did. I've got confidence that I could work w/ the materials but what I know nothing about is the components to control the thing? And I don't have a clue about the radio to fly it either. 3-4 channel ? Awww I'll figure it out some day. Great work, inspirational

Yes you can. A rudder will be nice though, helps smoothen turns, make them sharper and will give you more overall control of the aircraft. It'll also help in landing. Not essential to fly for ordinary aircrafts like this one, but good to have.
