Today I show you guys how I build a wood burning rocket stove. There is nothing special about this design, but I hope to give you guys some ideas for your own build. Thanks for watching.

Nice I'm going to build me one where did you get the big sheet of metal?
@StrangeGarage3 жыл бұрын
A steel yard. It was actually called "The Steel Yard", but generally that term refers to a metal distributor. I would NOT build yours like mine. If you go to a steel yard get 5" X 5" square tubing. It will save you SO much time!

You have got to invest in a decent angle grinder. That HF grinder is a piece of shit.
@StrangeGarage3 жыл бұрын
It's not very powerful, and it did get very hot while making this thing too. I do plan to get a brushless m18 soon, but I will always keep a spare HF one in the drawer. Too cheap not to have one.

@@StrangeGarage I burned up 3 in a week. Finally dropped 90bucks on a dewalt and never looked back. I've abused it now for 6years and still going strong.

@@jagboy69 How did they fail? Just curious. I had a HF grinder for 5ish years and wore out the pinion in the head(which happens to all grinders I've ever owned). I've had this one for 3 years now.
@StrangeGarage3 жыл бұрын
Side note, I did buy another cheap grinder when I made this stove because this grinder got so hot I wasn't sure it would keep working.

I still do keep a HF grinder you'll see in the video. I have it on a chandelier rheostat to control the speed for buffing. It's not doing it any favors, but on a 10buck grinder, who cares!
