Alberta beekeeper as well. Great design! Thanks for taking the time to share. I've run winters with open screen bottoms. I will definitely try this. Thanks again

This came up in my feed. Probably because i just posted a similar video. There are some similarities. I like those runners on the bottom. You could make them double width and run these as a two-way pallet. I am working on a screened two-way pallet and you have definitely given me some ideas.

9:45 What was the purpose of drilling the two hold in the frames, other than as an experiment? Are the holes there to let the bees travel between frames more efficiently?

Loved it no measurement needed just size to your box. I love it great desine. Doesn't the oil run off if hives are tilted??

I live in Boston, MA area. I have my first bee hive. Do you think I should be keeping a 2-inch Starafoam on my bottom board? My second question is when you slide in the whiteboard handle stick outside. Does that create a problem with rain? I would stain the bottom board but I am afraid stain is bad for the bees. What do you think of that? Thank you so much. I really enjoyed the video.

Do you think a wire landing board would help bees defend from beetles? (I'm thinking the SHB can't hover to enter and would fall through a wire landing board, but bees loaded with nectar could land and get in.) I made a ant proof metal stand from trampoline parts on my channel...I'm learning!

@@wrongfullyaccused7139 Most use 1/8" mesh, a mite won't fall threw window screen. I could only find it in 4" wide rolls at my lumber yard.
