A short video that I made when building a Space Marine Primaris Redemptor Dreadnought. It was the full kit and not the easy to build one. Enjoy!

You have to be very patient when assembling it. I re-sanded some parts so that they would be movable at the end. I didn't understand the rotating wreaths on the legs because in the end they can't be moved anyway once everything is glued. The hinged footwell didn't close at all without recutting. Very interesting for me as a beginner. Assembly took three days with magnets because I wanted it to be perfect. Painting will probably take another week. Thanks for the video

Thanks for the video I just bought one today with a box of aggressors but I ended up dropping a few of the aggressor parts down the kitchen sink so I put everything away and decided to watch videos instead 😂😭😅

I highly suggest X-acto blades to trim down the extra plastic left behind from cutting it. I used to use razor blades but honestly very difficult to control or not hurt yourself. But helps make life 100 times easier I primaris lol

i'm a big fan of warhammer 40k and only recently i've begun building an army, its gonna be a dark angels army and i got the combat patrol box which has a redemptor dreadnought, took me some 4 hours to build it xD

I'm a big fan of it and knew nothing about it, I just thought they looked really cool (and I loved citadel paints for my model hobby in general) but have been trying to learn more about it

The honest to god hardest thing about building this for me was his damn left foot. Positioning it correctly to look like it's partially lifted will still offering stability in the model by having 2 solid points of connection to the base is something I don't exactly want to put myself through again

Yeah the feet were tricky from what I can remember so I played it safe and had it looking more stationary. A bit boring I know but I wasn’t confident trying anything else! 😄

@@Frandog99 at the moment I'm stuck on how I should do the arms. I didn't glue any of the joints, but the shoulder joints are very loose I don't know if it should just glue those or not. They just fall down after lifting

I found one of the arms was looser than the other. I ended up gluing it in place after my mistake when priming it.

The hardest WH kit I've ever assembled, and I was there when I had to assemble metal wings to metal pegassi. Goddamn it, where is the push-fit Redemptor when you need it?

I'm honestly in the same boat when it comes down to saying the last thing I buy in warhammer will be the last thing for a while and then I see something I want an that expectation goes out the window lol. I honestly love your reviews because you can tell you have a real passion for this game. Could you perhaps make a video show casing your collection? I would love to see it and what chapter do you run? Me I'm into blood angels and I didn't jump on the band wagon when they were cool a couple years ago lol I've been playing since 3rd edition. Wbu? When did you start? So don't get me wrong I love how space marines finally got a new reamp of new stuff because for a while it seemed like games workshop was more interested in building other models to make those army more over powered lol. Especially with the new Tau update and eldar finally lol are so over powered that I suggest new people start with those armies if they don't know how to play to give them some king of edge. If you know how to play pshh watch out. I also seen Chaos marines finally got some new models, it's been 6 years since last ones lol. I have so many models from 3rd Gen an up and can't lie, older Gen models are better then these new ones to be honest. These new click together models in theory seem easier but honestly so much harder. I got the new ATV and Mech suit for space marines and most the peices I had to cut the connector rods or widen the fixed placement holes just to fit. And I like pre assembly parts as I build so I can have a rough idea how they go together but nope can't do that anymore lol.

Believe it or not I’ve never actually played 40k. I just enjoy building and painting the models. I’ve got the Indomitus box set and have built/painted just over half of the Necrons. The Space Marines are all still on spruced but plan to get them started once I finish the Necrons. Am probably going to go with Dark Angels as I like the colour scheme. Have no idea how they play in game. Hope you’re enjoying your Blood Angels. 👍

@@Frandog99 Dark Angels are my second favorite chapter, you should honestly look into the lore of each chapter is really cool as a whole. Oh ya the black with white shoulder pads look amazing foreal. I highly suggest in investing into army speed paints. As you know usually you have to under coat, then shade and highlight to bring the model potential out. But with army speed paints one coat of that paint does all that work for you so you only have to do details. Definitely worth checking out and I believe the 26th this month they start selling singles for $4.50 or box set of all the colors for $50. The black speed paint is beautiful when it drys. It's more of a liquidity application rather then how acrylic paints are. Hopefully this helps cause it Definitely has helped me lol. Usually it takes me 6 hours to paint a marine but with speed paint 30 Mins lol.

I haven’t myself because a) it fits quite well, is easily removable & rotates anyway b) I am not the most experienced model builder so would find it quite difficult! 😄

I do everything backwards. I have amazing results but everyone tells me I build my minis wrong. I prime everything while it's still on the spru. Then I paint everything while it's still on the spru. Then I do the water transfers while still on spru. Then I snip.. and sand paper. Then touch up. Then glue.
@Frandog99
@Frandog99 2 жыл бұрын
To be fair that is probably easier doing it that way especially with some models. I put some together and then realised painting certain parts of them will be almost impossible! Definitely going to try your way next time just to see. 👍

I primed my Night Scythe on the spruce and it turned out great, especially since I wanted to prime most things black, and only a few larger pieces white. I’m getting a Redemptor dread soon and may do the same thing!

Is the gun arm easily swappable?
@travis8106
@travis8106 5 ай бұрын
Honestly no. It presents as its easy to swap, but the parts on almost every fucking step are way too tight. The shoulder joint was particularly bad, and to get it flush I had to shave down the nub that fits in or remove it altogether and glue it in place

There are some parts where you can leave it unglued but the vast majority needs glue and isn’t push fit. I still recommend it though as it was a fun model to build.
