I missed how you put the outline of the stars on the board before you carved them. I would love to make this project. Great job.

Thanks for watching my video. You should be able to just buy a bigger tip to put on your propane torch. They usually sell them where you buy your propane torch.

If you use tite bond thick and quick wood glue it dries clear

Great video- we build very similar, except I feel putting glue between every board is overkill and adds a lot of glue clean up. Glueing and double nailing the 4 backers is totally sufficient. I do it the same way on the larger flags, too

That's funny, my wife says that to. Thanks for watching

I’ve been making these flags for a while now. I’ve noticed lately that the 105&106 dremel bits are clogging up if I use stain on the union stars. I’ve been letting the stain dry completely before carving the stars but it still clogs up the bits. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing your videos. Also the kids are really enjoying the Army tanks I’ve made for them 👍

Thanks for watching I'm glad you're kids like the tanks. I have not had a problem with the bits clogging up. I use the blue stain.

Luther I have been watching your utubes on the flags and I really like them I bought a cheap wood burner and am practicing with it but don't think it gets as hot as yours looks like yours gets hot and cold instantly what brand is yours I am trying to figure out a little twist on my flag I don't want to be a copy cat it is very difficult to come up something new and different if you look hard enough someone has already thought of it thanks from Bob

Nice flag,just wondering how you got 13 stripes, 1" wide from a 1x12 board, new math or magic table saw. 😂
@LuthersWoodworking11 ай бұрын
No..no magic table...lol...I just meant I use 1 x 12 to do my stripes..obviously you need more than one..

Ive had better results from 1x2 pine and they are easier to work with with less cuts.
@LuthersWoodworking5 ай бұрын
The smaller the flag, the narrow the strips are,so there is some cutting involved
