A older gentleman passed away about 7 months ago and he left me all of his radio parts , there's boxes of tubes for amp,s. Lot of the plugins and tuners, and knobs,, the point I was getting and is I would love to find the schematic and try to put together a 500 or 800 tube type amp, I don't know which direction a person would turn to to find something like it I'm sure it is out there but finding one and then I'm not electrician or electronics by any means so I would definitely need tons of help explaining what to happening, y'all have a good evening, gbaker Lake Cumberland Kentucky

How much power can one expect out of a 4 pill amp? No one seems to show specs on their amps.

my old mentor prbly will not be to happy about this lol.....he put together these pictures, schemarics, diagrams etc in the late 90s early 2000"s and sold them as 10m kits. His name is Rick Wilson and called his Amps Power Plate Amplifiers and someone cut his logos out of all of the pictures and started selling them. I use to run people off of ebay selling these cds but he told me to give up....more i got to take them down the more popes up.......very few people have the full pictures and plans because many pictures were deleted cause of the PSF Logos on them. For $50 to $60 you can buy the uncut raw plans which consist of the AB circuit BBK-1 Biasing Boards plus more Amp Plans. Ole Gatekeeper Said that and Im Good and Gone!

1883GotDown only reason I put them up is because it is a great reference. People are always looking for them. they pop up here or there. I would never sell them. I would be happy to credit him in the vid. As a matter of fact I think that would be awesome. If he really wants me to take them down I absolutely will. please ask him to get a hold of me. until then I will credit him in the vids.

Since all of the circuits have been largely unchanged, and based upon common known public domain information available since these transistor based amps came out. No person can claim ownership of any of it. I know of at least 30 guys that built these types of amps back in the 1970's. All of them used the same design for the most part. The only thing at all that ever changed, were the transistors. The circuit itself is a class AB /C for most of them. Only the Texas Star series amps could ever claim class A operation, and that was only in the two lowest drive modes. This was mainly because their original circuit wasn't a linear amplifier design, but in fact a QRP /CW transmitter design. All the other amps on the market , regardless of who built them. Are only as good as the work and components. No one can ever claim exclusive design / prototyping though. That shit was done before a lot of you were even born. JS. ;)

arrl of any year will show how these are built, but it takes a little know how and understanding to make a good one versus a splatterbox.

Really? This is a how-to video? Exactly who could use this to how to anything except velcrowing a 100 pound weight on it and using it for a boat anchor. However, since everything here is so incomplete... The anchor rope would be missing. The boat would never hold still and some fish at the bottom of the sea would be here commenting my exact words... Blub blub. Sorry gotta go, I see a plastic minnow.

God man. Miserable much? This was the first video I ever watched....and soon I'll be uploading the video of me building my 16 pill. I learned a lot from this and I owe credit for that to this video and the many more like it. And to BBI no question about it. Not crazy about how secretive he is about his ldmos tech.....it's like he doesn't want the cb world to see the benefits of new technology. But I do very much appreciate what him and people like this uploader have done. SHARE KNOWLEDGE !!!!

@@bparker86 if you read another commenter you may discover this is a cut up copy of someone else's work. Many of necessary pictures are missing because it contained the original person's logos. Anyway, one should easily get full plans ordered.
