I liked watching American people's built their's off grid home KIND LIKES TO BE OR NOT TO BE meaningful ensured the solid homes can competent with all four seasons weather plus minus conditions 👍 layers after layers........

Thanks so much. Yeah, I built it with layers and insulation, but without a heat source it would be impossible to live in the A-frame during winter. But with a small heater it could be very possible. Thanks for watching :)

Are those 12ft rafters? Is the with at the bottom approx 12ft?

How long did it take for you to build this A frame?

In total it took 17 months. But I did not work on it during the winter months and it was done when ever I had free time from managing the rentals of my other 3 cabins. Thanks for the question.

Yeah, that is an accurate breakdown. Lumber got real expensive after Covid, but now it can be done a bit cheaper.

Good job. But still screw air b&b. It's running rampant in Alaska. Residents can't find affordable housing due to the level of greed.

Hi Chris. Yes, that is an issue. But by creating cabins ONLY for glamping like we do here, it does not effect the housing crisis. If anything, this can help solve the problem because people can vacation in these types of cabins and the residential buildings can stay what they were originally designed to do - house families!

@The Glamp Man That would be great. And you are right about making this just an airb&b. And setting it up as one. But the greed of the home and property owners will stay the same. They just don't care. I've even herd one such property owner say that people "just don't want to pay the price". Well... he's right. Especially when the price is some ridiculous amount of $360.00 a night. They would have no money for food, utilities, car payment, insurance, medical and RX expenses, and God forbid they want to spend some money on entertainment. I wish your way of thinking would solve the problem. But greedy property owners just don't care.
