If you have iron filling up your poppies funnel it’s most likely because you’ve placed a block next to the comparator sending a signal into the other hoppers, so to brainstorm i’d try removing blocks around the circuit and adding torches instead!

Yay! Happy you found it. No, you can use the same redstone level. When you ‘close’ a slot, it counts as an item in there. So you can close the five you don’t need and it will work.

Good lord it took me too long to find this video. This works perfectly! I do have a question though: i have five iron farms feeding into this, and i have an incredible amount of backed up poppy and iron ingots. Is there a way to speed the process up, or duplicate this where i can have 3 or 4 of these going at once? I appreciate it and again, thank you! Youre a life saver! Edit: to give you an idea, I have a long term storage solution I feed these I to, and in my almost 2 year old world, I have roughly 600k iron blocks stored so far. It's becoming a pain to wait so long for the hoppers to fill the barrels with blocks lol.

Yay, glad you found it! Yes, even though I made this compact you can split each portion apart and make duplicates of each section as needed. You can even add a water delivery system above it if needed. Just watch to make sure you put the bottom redstone together in a way that the wires don’t cross. (Example: face them the same direction each time.)

If your farm type produces string, you can put an additional filter to the left of the iron filter to filter it out.

Sounds like the filter redstone isn’t setup correctly. Double check to see if your comparator is facing the right direction, redstone dust, and repeater are correct on the filter portion.

Sounds like your redstone, specifically the redstone torch isn’t setup right.

Hi! I've managed to fix 1 of 2 problems I had with this on my own (iron stacking in the poppies hopper), but is there a way to stop the iron block crafter from firing when it gets a signal from the bone block crafter? it seems to happen because they're next to each other and not very often ofc since bonemeal takes a while to accumulate, but can i stop it from happening? I could filter out the other iron products if need be.

I haven’t run into that problem, but if you are seeing it, you can separate the two sections by one block and add an extra top level hopper. They are only together for compactness.

I like the design however it has the same problem i have as other designs i've tried. It will throw out the odd nugget or pressure plate and then the crafter will cease to produce anything and start stacking up ingots and thus breaks the farm until i manually clear out the crafter.

Sorry to hear you have this problem with the crafter on different set ups. I’ve been running this design on my single player and SMP for two months with no problems. I wonder what’s happening with your setup 🤔

@cubeprospector So it's ok now once i built it in my survival world where the influx of ingots is slower. Before i was testing it in creative and was feeding a lot of ingots through the hoppers and i guess it was too quick 👍🏻

Welcome to Minecraft! Good question. Double check the comparators. The ones in the middle need to be in subtract mode. Also double check you got the item frame on the back set to the right number.

You don't get string in your iron farms?

The farms I normally build don’t produce string, but if yours does you can put a string filter just before this setup. Simple add on.

Hey, very nice Farm! It works very well :D I just let it afk for 24h and it worked well^^ But in the hopper right above the composter which points down there gets iron stuck after the 24h I had like 3 1/2 stacks iron in there and im not sure how to fix it? Anybody has an idea?

Troubleshooting question: the first hopper sends poppies to the correct side, but sends iron to both sides. What's causing this?

What I showed was the minimum setup. You’ll want to have a couple hoppers before this setup so the iron golem drops don’t go into the last hopper.

I haven’t run into cats dying in my iron farms. If you do, simply put an extra item filter at the beginning that pulls out the string and puts it into a chest.

I think it’s bc he plays on Java edition were you only need like 3 beds & 3 villagers to make an iron farm cats will only spawn if there are 5 claimed beds in the village

It’s pretty hard to make it overflow but if you are worried you can add hoppers and chests to the output chests to extend the storage.

Hmm… I’m not sure what would be different on bedrock to cause it to not work. Did you double check to make sure the middle comparators are set to subtract?

@cubeprospector Yeah I ended up building a messier system that's bigger and discovered something that might've been what wasn't allowing yours to work for me. I could use one named filler item per slot, I needed 44 total, 11 in each of the 4, and they didn't have to be named, just not something the crafters would use. I just used 44 unnamed cobblestone. I probably will try your design again in future because it def was more compact then the monstrosity I frankenstein'd together, lmao!

I have the same issue, the redstone after sending signal once just stays on afterwards and the crafter doesnt do anything no matter what i do i tried 3 different designs from KZbin already and all had this same issue... I'm on Java btw

Sounds like your redstone isn’t setup correct. Try checking your comparators and the redstone signal coming from the back side.

I've solved the issue by making another auto sorter for the flower's hopper to stop the iron ingots! But it seems like there will be some flowers accumulating in the hopper and not going into the composter.. Anyway it's still better than having iron ingots coming in! I had the same issue and I noticed when he put the chest on to do the testing he didn't actually check the other hoppers over the composter to make sure no iron was getting in so it was hard to tell if it the problem is inherent to the system or something I did wrong. I've put a filter on the composter and am testing it now to see if that resolves the issue for me. Edit: I *think* I've figured it out--if you have the farm output going DIRECTLY into the first hopper from above this seems to cause Minecraft to prefer moving to the right vs. flowing down. I moved the entire system to the right by one block and had the farm flow into it's own dedicated hopper and it seems to have solved it.

A single Iron Ingot gets into the Poppy Pipe everytime a golem dies and after a while it fills up the hoppers on the wrong side and gets jammed. How do I fix that? Edit: Ok, fixed the issue. The chest on top of the hoppers has to be a single chest that only covers one hopper (Or a double chest but only on one hopper).

Yes, and I used the chest to test it. You can have the iron feed straight into the hoppers and skip the chest on top.
