It is very enlightening to watch videos of other drifters where you are able to hear the motor. These guys tap their throttle a lot. I usually keep my throttle pretty steady except in bends where you want that nice sliding power! It just shows how different people drift. There is no "correct" way to drifting. I also tapped my throttle a lot in the beginning but it turned out that i had a lot better driving flow when not tapping that throttle so much. Nice video Soul RC. I couldn't agree more about your track ideas. Too many bends and direction changes is not fun. The course i am currently driving on only has three direction changes, but it is a lot of fun. Bends that tighten or widen are many times more challenging than doing a direction change into steady bends :D Happy drifting everybody! Cheers from Denmark :D

Are you using carpet? What is your flooring? Where do you get the bumpers? I really want to make a track!
@Soulrc2 жыл бұрын
We used a custom carpet but we recommend concrete or hard surfaces over carpet now. The kerbing is made by Tetsujin in Japan.

I realize soul RC is no more but does anyone have details on their scenery pieces? I like how modular they are and easy to move around.
@RCPACE3 жыл бұрын
They were made for us by a customer and are all MDF bases (thick, so heavy and not easily moved by crashes) with expanding foam, painted to look like rocks and grass and then hand -made road signs, fences etc. They were all donated to WRCC when we closed Soul RC, and then when WRCC closed they were donated to Drift Essex and are still going strong! What kind of line tape did you use
@Soulrc2 жыл бұрын
I forget the brand but we found a masking tape at a local shop that worked well for our carpet. It's generally a case of trying a few and finding one that doesn't peel too easily but doesn't stick too hard for when you need to change layouts.
