thanks for providing the 3D print files! Might try and suggest some locals to use them for their tracks instead of using normal tapes. However the video seems more focused on track layout instead of surfaces though, would love to see you suggest what kind of surfaces (or p tiles) a beginner should learn to drift on to start practicing
@RoadsideRC Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes - not focused on the surface - I should have added that!! My suggestion is always to use the slickest surface and hardest tire possible. It is more difficult, but if you can drift on that - you can drift anywhere.

Hey Troy! Great video and awesome concept and execution! I'm curious about a couple of things... Why did you not make the wall pieces in curved sizes to match the curbs? And why did you only make straight sections in 195mm length? Would it be possible for you to make them in half, and quarter length? (or 50mm, 100mm, and 200mm for round numbers?)
@RoadsideRCАй бұрын
Fun questions! Wall pieces - I made them so they would work for any of the different radius. That way folks could print just 1 wall piece and use it wherever, vs needing to print specific wall pieces for specific sections. Good choice, bad choice? Good question! :) Yes - the straight sections could be made in lots of various lengths. I made them 195mm to make sure they would fit on most print beds, while also getting as much length as possible. With the various layouts folks have tried, they have been happy with this - but different lengths are certainly possible.
@WLDHRSEАй бұрын
@@RoadsideRC would you have time, and/or be willing to make a few more lengths? I know that I can scale them in the X-axis to any length but that would change the attachment tabs at the same time and they would no longer connect to the curved pieces. I'm hoping for different length straights so that I can make larger corners by adding a small straight between each curved piece.

So far, they have not moved very much with the drift cars. My plan is just double-sided tape stick them down.
