This was so much easier in Zoo Tycoon. You raise the area where you want the water, run the line of Tank Wall fencing, then add the water in. It carved out the bottom of the water area on its on depending on whether you set it for deep or shallow water. Then you used the Flatten Terrain tool from the path side, and flatten out the path and the interior of the water area, and voila! No worries about the barrier not meeting the edge of the water, it all just worked.

This is a great tutorial and I think it translates to console edition very well! I spent 4 hours between trying to create an underwater view for my pygmy hippos, realizing I did it wrong, restarting, repeating that once more 😔 little did I know I was overcomplicating things, excited to try again tonight.
