Thank you for a great video. Have been watching cabinet builds for years and have never seen or been made aware of the C tabs on the side of the slides that you can bend out. Very good to know. I had just used some thin strips of wood to bring them inward more. I like you idea better. Thanks. New subscriber.

Same here, did grow up with cm and then i was thought to use mm when i learned metal working. I tend to use whatever i find the easiest for the moment :D

That’s true to a degree but my understanding is that cm is for dressmakers - mm for carpenters. Any thoughts people?

I saw a youtuber (John Heisz) use OSB boards (Oriented Strand Board) for shop drawers about 10 years ago. I don't know if you have that where you live or not but it's most often used as sheathing for roofs and outer walls. I thought it was crazy but I didn't have a lot of money and a 4'x8' foot sheet of OSB was only $11 at the time so I tried it. They've been holding up great for over 9 years now. It doesn't look as good as free plywood but it worked as drawers very well.

I bet it do! But how is it when you nail/screw it from the side? I have never tried but i get a feeling that the wooded chips would easy break apart in case like that? Plywood also have this kind of problem but i think OSB might be worse? If you look closely then you can see that my walls are just painted OSB :)

@DesireToInspire1 I screwed my drawer panels together using drywall screws and pilot holes. none of the drawers have shown any fatigue that I've noticed, even the overloaded ones. I made them with the bottom panel as OSB screwed into the sides from underneath. it was my first cabinet type project I had ever built.

Really interesting, will keep watching later today, just finish my mobile workstation this weekend based on 1x80cm and 1x30 cabinet from Ikea. And will start making a new cabinet for one of our bathrooms since Ikea is to large.

Well they was outside in the rain, in a pile of trash and was going to be discarded so they was by definition, trash. But you know what they say "One man's trash is another man's treasure", it could not be more true in this instance :)
