Awesome! I used to live in an apartment where I had a storage unit as my garage/work space. Didn’t have have electricity, so I grabbed a free generator that’s broken off of CL and fixed it up, I did all my car fab up there. I even put led lights. The only thing is, I had to buy gas for my generator.

Dude I want blast pipes for my bd but I'm sure as hell not spending almost 200$ for a tail pipe. And to be quite honest, I'd rather have something ghetto that I made myself than buy something that is way overpriced for a car that isn't even turbo yet lol

I made these for my v6 camry and got a citation it says "exhaust noise/alteration" but I'm trying to figure out if its just the noise or also the length they stick out about a foot

+Chris Joy are you wanting to just replace the muffler or do the whole cat-back? Check around your local classifieds/subie groups and see what's going used. You might be able to find a good deal on quality bits. Depends on what you're looking for though: better performance, loud, how loud? What kind of tone? I've honestly always been pretty happy with just a cherry bomb glasspack. They sound good and have alright flow and they're super cheap. The ricer fart can the sell at oreilly/autozone for $40 is actually pretty good quality. You Could probly get one on eBay for $20-$25 of the same quality. I have one on my minitruck and it gets the job done If you're just wanting it louder, you could just do a muffler delete. There's a good sized resonator, so it won't be fully straight piped, but it'll wake it up pretty good. If you're wanting quiet performance, see if you can find stock sti parts. They sound good, perform well, and are quiet. You could also just throw on a thrush quiet pack or whatever it's called. I've used that one once as well. It's usually what you'd put on an American car, but it works just fine. About the same price as a glasspack or fart can. You can get exhaust compression clamps that make it so you don't even need a welder. That's how i got a new muffler on my jeep in high school.

Isn't galvanized steel really heavy? Is it a normal material to make exhaust out of? I love all the different ideas you have.

+Tugboatpb yea it's probly slightly heavier because of the added compounds. Using fence pipe is a pretty ghetto way to do exhaust, but it's a fairly common trick if you're in a bind. The fence post is pretty heavy just because it's a thicker wall than you'd normally use for exhaust. But it's cheap and available and it's tube. Lol.

The thicker walls hold the tone better, less vibration and tinny sound, also doesn’t rust.
