Aside from larger base stats, Verdant Summit doesn't really offer anything to Calcharo. Some things to point out in Calcharo's kit: 1) Aside from his normal heavy attack and "Mercy" there are no more heavy attacks, specially during his R. Liberation. 2) His R. Liberation basically has no heavy attacks, and it majorly relies on basic attack and R. Liberation damage

For the % dmg bonus substats, imo you would want to prioritize Basic attack dmg > R. Liberation dmg > R. Skill Damage > Heavy attack damage. My Calcharo has everything at level 4/10, and the % are(roughly): Full basic attack combo ~430% Heavy attack + mercy ~380% Full basic attack combo during ult (Hound's Roar) ~600% Death Messenger ~630% Initial ult dmg ~380% Death Messenger is considered R. Liberation damage, so during the ult, in a full 5 combo of hound's roar + death messenger, you do slightly more dmg% bassed off liberation. Plus liberation dmg% increases your initial slash damage. This is in an ideal rotation with no real down time, seeing how that's not always achievable, you might use some normal attacks before getting your ult again. So generally, basic attack dmg% >= R. Liberation dmg%

Apparently verdant has a translation issue in its description. It's description give a stack when a resonance skill or intro hits someone however it should be when a resonance liberation or intro hits. It's still his best weapon but it is slightly worse than people think

No it isnt. The standard banner broad blade is his best in slot. Verdant Summit attack vs Lustrous Razor at lvl 60 char and lvl 60 wep is 1400-1500 attack vs 1800-2000 attack. Add to this. you only gain 12 % dmg bonus to all your skills vs 21% bonus to liberation damage. 36% crit damage doesnt make up for the less attack and liberation damage which is the majority of calcharo's damage.

@@Kizen. The 12% applies to all his skills including intros, outros, liberation, resonance, and echo. This has far higher potential than 21% for just liberation. The 36% crit damage is massive. You're also forgetting the heavy damage bonus of 24% on intro or liberation, so if you intro into your liberation you're getting 48% dmg for 14s... Also at level 60, summit has 374 atk and 35.9% crit dmg. It's a MASSIVE stat stick that is unparalleled.

@jumpkicking You didn't look at the skills. It only works in the normal mode, not deathblade gear state. As that will only count as Resonance Liberation damage or basic attacks for all attacks done in it. Mercy is heavy attack damage. Death Messenger, the special attack during Deathblade Gear state is 100% Resonance Liberation Damage. Also his dodge attacks during that mode are Resonance Liberation Damage. And the initial attack which is a large circular aoe is also... Resonance liberation damage. Verdant summit and Lustrous razor have the same base attack, lustrous razor also gives attack % and Energy Recharge. Also, his Resonance Liberation does not trigger the passive from Verdant Summit, ever. So you can only ever get 24% damage bonus to heavy attacks anyways. not that it matters, you would never heavy attack in his resonance liberation regardless.

what he meant by guaranteed weapon, is that when you get a 5 star on the weapon banners (Targeted Weapon, Jiyan's Weapon, Yinlin's Weapon) 100% of the time it'll be the weapon unlike the characters theres a 50% to get the 5 star you want (0.8% to get a 5 star, and ontop of that you have to hope you win 50/50)

Thats only on 4stars or low crit rate verdant summit. his heavy attacks do great damage. His heavy attack is weak in normal form because its several hits that need to crit to get maximum damage. But Lustrous Razor lets you spam your liberation, and the liberation damage bonus goes to 21% which is massive on top of the huge % attack it gives. Allowing you to easily do insane damage.

THIS IS WRONG, PIN THIS COMMENT. VERDANT IS BAD. IT IS THE WORST CHOICE FOR CALCHARO, LUSTROUS RAZOR IS HIS BEST CHOICE. Lustrous gives 21% liberation damage at 3 stacks. His heavy, dodge attack, and Resonance liberation during deathblade gear state all count as Resonance Liberation damage. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID, I HAVE 2 ACCOUNTS, ONE WITH VERDANT AND ONE WITHOUT, I TESTED BOTH. EDIT: To anyone saying Verdant Summit is better, this is only at Rank 1 with VERY good Echoes, and only *on paper.* At rank 2 and above Verdant Summit is massively behind Lustrous Razor. Also, whenever you do NOT crit with Verdant Summit you lose a ton of damage, so much so that Verdant Summit is only an ON PAPER upgrade at Rank 1, but it fails in all real scenarios and fails on all high investment scenarios. It also has less Resonance Liberation uptime due to no energy recharge bonus. You need 70% crit rate and a LOT of attack % for Verdant Summit to be better at Rank 1. You ONLY need Crit damage and 50-60% crit rate for Lustrous Razor to be better at rank 1. At Rank 2 Lustrous Razor is as strong as Rank 3 Verdant Summit. And at Rank 4, Lustrous Razor is MUCH stronger than R5 Verdant Summit.

The r3-r5 BP weapon is also good since its stat is crit rate and its passive activates with every skill cast which he does a lot. Electro %dmge and crit rate are the stats to go for in his elite and boss echos.

its been tested and the numbers have been shown, lustrous is only better (slightly) if you have sub 50% crit other than that verdant is superior, realistically getting verdant is the better investment for late game imo

I have unironically killed thundering and tempest mephis both like 300+ times, whilst using the bug that gives me guaranteed drops. I’ve gotten like 5 crit rate golds, out of 600 kills. And the substats were dog. But today I got a max crit dmg roll substat so i can finally stop farming this boss. I was almost going to quit the game honestly with how bad my luck was.

​@@fhsh531Basically an exploit where there's a pity systems in echo. For bosses, if you don't get an echo, the next one will be guaranteed to drop. This exploit is so broken, I'm not gonna surprised if they fixed it in the next patch. I got like 5 bosses echo with crit main stats after farming for 5 hours lol.

Ur heavy attacks in liberation form is considered as liberation damage not heavy attack damage, so Thundering is best
