I was going to do this same thing. Then I thought, "why not just use the winch mounted on the front bumper?" If the winch has a nylon rope, you can just let out your winch rope and throw it over the roof of your Polaris. Raise the bed, attach the rope to your deer/hog, and winch it right into the bed. Works perfect, does not damage your ride or the winch rope, and costs nothing if you already have a front winch. I have loaded 250lb deer into the bed of my bike right by myself.💥

Was planning the same thing, mine has a metal roof so was going to bolt 2 rollers to a 2x6x? to lay on the top to guide the rope to pull deer/hogs into the bed.

@@LeonardRoberts I was going fab something like you describe to keep the rope off of the roof of my bike. Got a deer down before I could do so and tried it without it. My bike has a plastic roof and no damage at all to the roof after loading several deer.

Yes I see alot of people use their roof I’m the forums I’m on. Only reason I didn’t, is I plan on adding a rack up there at some point. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Going to look at Polaris 570 tomorrow for my wife. Your idea may be going on it so my wife can load hogs easier. Normally pull them out of the woods with my electric wheelchair, but after watching this video the wheels in my brain started turning. 😎👍

What an awesome idea! I have a similar camo Polaris ranger and do a lot of solo hunting and have the same problems with big hogs here in Texas. I think my ranger needs this set up for sure great job man!

What if you are in a position where you can't drop that bed down? IN that case you would have to build braces coming off of your winch bar going to your bed to brace the bed down and have a set of ramps to drag the ELK up.

Put a hitch haul on your receiver! Loaded many deer an bear on those! Just wrap them with cheap tarp as tires throw dirt an snow on the game behind tires.
