Trying to build a garage with breeze blocks finding it hard to get the mix right , love the work your doing make it look easy, but not for me but needs to be done ca t afford a builder 😅 great job mate!

those thermalite blocks, did you use standard mortar or the adhesive? in eastern europe they called Ytongs, most common ones, and the pre mixes are called "glue" rather than mortar, applied with up to 6mm toothed throwel. When I was building up a porch wall, I used polyurethane low expanding foam, takes a while to get used to and could result in loads of waste, but conducted test on a pieces left over few nights, foam was winner :)

I notice you use a pointing trowel alot to finish any blockwork..any reason for it it's not face is it ? just I always use an iron to rub up normally unless it's to been done certain way cheers luje

Nice vid stu , I point mine with a jointer . Takes 5 mins , looks heaps better and in fact I’ve won jobs for doing that , shows a bit of pride 👍
