By caulking the base of your standard, you are creating a barrier that not only looks good, but it also helps prolong the life of your jump standards, especially if they live outside.

I like using the landscaping timbers for the standards as well as the rails on my own jumps because they are cheap, functional, and look great when they are done.
They create lightweight standards that are sturdy, but easy to move.
