How To DIY A Liverpool For A Horse Jump

Hi everyone! The weather is getting a little warmer where I live, so it is time for me to start building some jumps again. Today I am going to show you how you can make a liverpool, or water tray for your own horse jumps. This is a really simple project, and is a useful piece of jump equipment to get your horse accustom to liverpool's and water jumps before you take them to a horse show!
I made this liverpool for about $18.00. There are only a few things you need to make this liverpool:
6x8 tarp
2 2x4x8
2 2x4 scrap pieces of lumber
And then you just follow the video instructions, and you too can have your own water tray!

That is a great idea! It gets really windy where I live, I would be afraid it might blow away, but that is an excellent alternative!

Ok. Made a liverpool today with your instructions! I made it a bit shorter than 8 ft so had some trimming to do, but it came out great! Thank you for your wonderful ideas. Hi Katka & Smirill :) The great thing about building your own jumps is you can build them as tall, or small as you like. I have built many standards that are 2 or 3 ft tall, because that was the size of the wood I had to work with. And when you build the standards, and drill the holes for the jump cups, you could just measure for your jumps to be shorter. :)

you should use some nice big washers when you put the screws in, so they dont pierce thru the tarp!

So, if you're needing new video ideas... I have a solid black saddle pad I want to add my own piping or trim to in order to spruce it up a bit but I'm nervous to try. You should do a video on how to add piping to a pad so I can copy you haha
