@@urbanagmike You're welcome, Michael! Your video/videos have definitely been extremely helpful to me. It's so inspiring to see someone else growing indoors and being successful at it. I've been wanting to build my own grow room for a while. Now I can show my husband how easy it is to turn an extra room into an indoor farm, yay!!! You are very appreciated, my friend! God Bless!!!👍🙏❤😃

This is cool! I'm thinking about doing a "free food project" for our intelligent design classes for Creation Standard and would love to use your content and or expertise as guidance when the time comes as I have little experience with growing food. All I do is dig holes, plant trees and let them grow. So far, I've only had about an 80% success rate at keeping the trees alive. We have an assortment of fruit trees, but the wild blackberries are our most productive and we didn't plant those LOL. Thanks for sharing your awesome indoor farm!

@@FOUNDEDEARTHBROTHERS Hey FEB!! Cool to see you stop by my channel. The project sounds great, happy to help and offer my experience where I can. Right now I have a small garden outside, no fruit trees though! And no problem thanks for watching and the comment.

@@urbanagmike That's awesome! Thanks so much! I would love to pick your brain in the near future and if your schedule ever allowed, I'd love to have you be a guest speaker for Creation Standard about growing your own food from home. I had already envisioned that, but seeing your approach makes it seem worth the time given many may not have access to acreage that most think is essential to growing food.

Great video! What was your process for routing water from your kitchen to your grow room?
@urbanagmike5 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for watching and the comment. At 14:28 I go through how I did this. In summary I purify water through reverse osmosis and put that hose right into a 30 gallon tank in the kitchen area. That tank has a hose connected to a pump that sends it via hose into the grow room. The pumps i'm using are phenomenal, and hooking the power from the pump into a smart plug is nice because then the button on the side acts like an on and off switch. Any other Qs let me know!
@Wrested-bq6zy5 ай бұрын
@@urbanagmike My question was more related to how you got the hoses from the kitchen, through the walls, and into your grow room. Did you need to take any precautions when selecting type of hose, how/where to enter and exit the wall, etc. to guard against water damage?
@urbanagmike5 ай бұрын
@@Wrested-bq6zy Oh! Well I got a quality hose, and it’s not really being bent or moved ever so it’s been okay! I’m only using it when pumping water in maybe once or twice a week. I don’t leave water going through them.

Thanks from Poland. I am very new to this ,,micro" things and i really like it. I wonder if you put mylar also on ceiling in your new growing room and how you walk on mylar and not damage it? What will be estimated power consumption in your new grow room? What do you do with old soil?
@urbanagmike5 ай бұрын
@@michaoginski6220 I don’t put on ceiling though you could if you wanted. The material I use (linked in description) is strong and won’t wear out quickly being walked on. The estimated power consumption depends entirely on how many and what grow lights you’re using! Also if you have any pumps for hydroponic systems. What I will say is that it’s profitable, and I’m in one of US highest energy cost states. Old microgreen trays can be used as feed for livestock or thrown into compost bin! Any others Qs let me know and join my new FB support group for indoor farming!

@@urbanagmike Thanks for answer. I got ,,free" room in my house where is a home gym right now and i can easy transform It to grow room but there are no window ☹️. I saw that people used container to grow microgreens so i wonder could i try even without window there or is it a waiste of time? My next big question is how hard is to sell microgreens. I live in 300k city so there is plenty places to sell it but this is food so there must be several restrictions to how we make it? Someone check your grow room to check if there is clean or something? You must got some certificates or papers to do this?
