Correction on 2024 True Strike, this is no option to use your casting ability modifier or the regualr ability modifier. It straight up replaces STR or DEX for attack and damage with your spell casting ability modifier. This won't stop you from pulling off your sneak attack, but it is not a choice between DEX or INT, it's just INT for True Strike.

If you're doing an arcane trickster build I'd recommend picking up the mizzium apparatus (uncommon magic item) for various versatile gadgets that old spy movie hero has. With your spell slot lvl only going upto 4, easy to get expertise in arcana, and reliable talent we'll always succeed on the mizzium apparatus check. Giving us full access to the spell list.

I thought all of Bond’s gadgets would go better with Thief rogue. The new version of fast hands makes items (magical and not) so easy to do. Lean into that equipment usage. AT is fine, but seems to always be the default because of spells.

I can never remember how to assign names to the actors who played each version of Bond, but the family had a bunch of old Bond movies recorded so I'm very familiar with the guy who was Bond in Doctor No. I also really liked the guy who played Bond in The World Is Not Enough. I would recommend either the Martial Initiate or a few levels into Battlemaster Fighter to pull off some morr of the trick shots Bond does. He gets a couple from Rogue but he would have disarming and a few other options througj Battle Maneuvers

I love this channel, but I'm not crazy about this build. First, I think you have to go Soldier or Noble for the background to be consistent with the books and the Daniel Craig version of the character. (They don't talk much about his pre-movie origin in the other versions of the character). Must have skills include Athletics, Persuasion, Intimidation, Perception, and Deception. For abilities -- I think its got to be more balanced. He shouldn't have negatives in anything, but DEX and CHA should be highest. I think he's got to have seven levels in Fighter, though I go back and forth on Battle Master or Champion. Unarmed Fighting, Defense, and Dueling are potential fighting styles. I think I probably go seven levels of Rogue to get to Reliable Talent. I think Assassin makes more sense for the character, but using Arcane Trickster to substitute spells for gadgets sort of makes sense. Last, I'll take six levels in Bard with College of Glamour -- that's going to be the best representation of the guy who walks into the bad guy-owned casino and orders a martini. Then again, my favorite Bond is Timothy Dalton, so who knows.
